I was wondering about it to , did her son kill himself and that was his blood running down  ?

That could be.  I did notice the blood but could not tell why it was there or what exactly it meant.  Her son was on watch up there.  You would think he would have said something to her when she was standing there banging on the fence.

When Rick started to make out, I was just waiting for someone to barge in and tell them something was happening or someone to interrupt them in some kinda way.

I kept thinking to myself, they have to give Rick some kind of break, let him relax for once since the prison!  That dudes been through a lot.

Hadn't thought about Deanna's son there, good point...  but, as i said, either way, i think the key things they will introduce before the end of this half of the season is Glenn returning (at least temporarily), and the (beginning of the) fall of Alexandria.

Imguessing either that was Deanna's son's blood as some suggested here, OR it was signifying the pressure of the herd pushing against the wall is becoming compromised.

As of now, I'm guessing it's the walkers/wall giving.  If Deanna's son is still alive, i think Rosita (forgot her name because it has been said in so long lol) is about to let him hit it lol.

I like the idea of the episode: this is life now.  I like that the Alexandrians are going to get a little dose of the ugly world.  There were also several good shots to really show how big the horde is.  That's a lot of zombies!

Sadly, there's not a huge amount of plot happening.  I'd like to know what's up with Morgan's wolf?  What about Glenn?  What's going on with Carl and Enid?

I did enjoy seeing Maggie try to go rescue Glenn, only to shut herself down.  Or to see Deana go all crazy on the walker, and that her son was just as much a POS as her other son.  Her failure as a parent is going to be something to see unfold.

The only thing that's getting me in the blood on the fence.  I get Deana beating on the fence, a kind of "come at me bros!" to all the zombies (not the best idea).  She's more unstable than Rick...

Riddle me this, why are the supports on the outside of the wall? Wouldn't it have been better to put the supports INSIDE the walls to make the stronger versus an outside push?  That seems to be something important in the near future.

I have been wondering about this since they arrived.  Seems pretty stupid

I think they're handicapped by bad casting. TV Carl is nothing like Comic Carl. They tried to make him like comic Carl for a bit but it just didn't work.

Yeah, they did a poor job casting.  I do not know anything about comic book Carl, but I do know that TV Carl is played by a horrible actor.  That "fight" the other night, hahaha

I imagine the casting of Carl is tricky. They probably cast the role when the actor, Chandler Riggs, was 9 or 10 years old, a little kid basically. Now, he is 16 and expected to have serious acting chops.

If he is unable to pull it off, I suspect the producers could get away with changing actors between seasons, but I think that would be highly unlikely as I feel Riggs is at least serviceable. Who knows, maybe TV Carl gets the comic book Glenn treatment by the new character...

Remember that little stretch where Carl killed the guy who was surrendering and Daryl was calling him little Shane? That's how comic book Carl is. He's tough and no nonsense and probably has some psychological issues. The actor they have just isn't able to pull that off.

That's what killed me in the season finale twl seasons ago. "I'm a monster too" Carl is weak. Carl Grimes is the definition of thug life.
