Walking Dead Season 6

JJman Returns

Recommended Posts

I think folks will warm up to Morgan's humanity soon, and Rick is going to have to self-assess how crazy he wants to get.  Rick and Morgan will not do anything to hurt each other, but Morgan will force Rick to be more humane.  Morgan is the new Herschal, and sadly we know how that will end. I hate that because if LOVE Morgan (and the actor too!).

well, that is why Glenn (eventually) and Morgan (unless he changes) will both die and Rick will keep on keepin on.

Glenn deserved to die in the fall off the dumpster.  That guy he keeps forgiving should of lead Glenn to his death....especially when Glenn kept making him the "lead" on there little run.   They should of never done that little story line that way.

Hope The Walking Dead doesn't go all LOST.  Epic start and then they just flub it all up.

To get your mind off Glenn and dumpsters, how about some spoilers from the next episode... with cheese!

be warned, legit spoilers ahead

Meet the cheesemaker, John Carroll Lynch

Apparently, we get a lot of Morgan in this episode, which includes his journey from around the time of "Clear" to Terminus, to Alexandria.

He DIDN'T kill the wolf in the house, as I suspected, and is keeping him locked up. It turns out that the wolf has also been bitten.

I really hope Sunday's episode is good. I worry that it will be just too much backstory for Morgan. Sure, it's interesting to know what happened to Morgan between "Clear" and him arriving in Alexandria, but I don't want to derail the progress of the story for the sake of going back to Morgan. It's almost unnecessary, really. You can reveal that stuff in an episode with dialogue.

Hopefully the 90 minute run-time on this episode means at least 30 minutes will be dedicated to Alexandria and where we are right now.

From what I've read, Morgan's part of the episode at least, will be flashing between multiple timelines, including present time.

Well that's encouraging to a degree. I can't find any spoilers on the web. It's odd. I never look for them, but I wanted to for this episode just to know what's up with it.

I get everyone hates the "ethical" character but I for one embrace them. I'll admit a lot of the moral characters were pretty annoying but I blame that on the acting. Morgan, however, is a great character and while I do believe he gets canned this season, I think he has the potential to be by far the best character the show has introduced.

I like Morgan a lot.

There isn't anything at all wrong with a television character having ethics obviously. Provided that said character does not also happen to exist within a zombie apocalypse where eminent danger is around the corner at just about every turn, and not just from zombies either.

Without reading the 11enty billion words on the last episode....

I don't think Glen is dead, that was his dumbass buddy's insides we saw get eaten.

But if I'm wrong, meh, so what. Everybody is already dead. I just love the sad music for some....:eyesroll:

Hopefully the showrunners recognize this.  TWD has a lot of leeway, but they are starting to use it up a little faster than they earn it.  I agree that Glen/Nick in the town should not have happened at all.  Glen is much smarter than that.  Also, while they were holed up, why not get the lay of the land from Nicolas?  Also, don't most places like that have some kind of roof access?  I would have gotten my butt upstairs pretty quickly to figure out the next move.  That would have been a better Glen move than a desperate attempt to burn a feed store.

Hopefully this week, with the Morgan stuff, and the reveal of what happens to Glen we can get back on track.  The herd is just a small obstacle.  What's the human threat here, because that is far more compelling.  As it always has been in TWD.  Human enemies are much more interesting.  You can only run from zombies so often as a plot device.
