Steve Smith

eh. If I'm SS, I'm calling home (Panthers) and planting the bug. If I'm the Panthers, I'm calling the Ravens and asking how much?

If the trade is reasonable, I pull the trigger and sit Smitty for 3/4 of the season and tell him to ice up.. Then pull the pin and unleash a fresh agent89 when it's crunch time.

We play hotlanta twice in the last month of the season. Think about that.

If Steve Smith would have acted like a professional when he was released, he would be back here if his ribs healed up, because he did not, and proved Gettleman right, and then went on the radio and blasted them repeatedly, he is not coming back. Simple as this. Smith made his bed, now he has to lay in it.

Yes a WR that wouldn't allow Cam to be the true leader of the offense and will demand Cam to throw him the ball every time, which most likely would force Cam to look his way most of the time when there are better options. . A guy that wouldn't help any other WR we have on the team and also would most likely end up in a fist fight with Norman. Sounds like a good idea.

It was never Steve Smith who held Cam back. It was the coaches inability to let Cam run the game on the field and change up plays. This is the first season he has been able to control the offense over the coaches. 12-4 with Smith and Cam to Smith was the only TD in the playoffs that year.

This garbage about Steve Smith not helping young WRs is crap. He was only paired with 3 young WRs; Dwayne Jarrett, Brandon LaFell, and David Gettis. LaFell and Gettis were successful as #2. Gettis had injuries that limited him. Jarrett could never grasp the playbook and he was a waste of time. No one could help Jarrett.

“After my first season, me and Smitty were having a conversation, and he was like ‘We’re gonna go get a No. 2 receiver. We might go get a No. 2 receiver,’” LaFell recalled Wednesday at the Patriots’ team hotel. “And that lit a fire underneath me, like ‘Smitty doesn’t think I’m a No. 2? I’m about to go work my butt off.’ I kinda think in the back of my head, he said it to light that fire in me.” - NESN.com

NESN.com article of LaFell praising Steve Smith.

Josh Norman is no better than Steve Smith as a personality. Do you want to dump Norman too?

bump. can we trade now? (54 yard first half for 89)

There's no going back on the decision to liquidate a position of relative strength  (WR) and ignore a position of Great weakness (OL) by Getts 2 years ago.

It was just demonstrated on the field for the umpteenth time when Cam is hit before he can deliver a TD ball.

Maybe this offseason Getts will seriously address the Oline.
