punt returner has the easiest chance of getting hurt.

Bullshit! Try jumping up 2 feet to catch a pass and leaving your whole entire body open to be abused in midair, turned inside out, land on your head, break your neck, etc.

Jake puts Smitty, and any other WR we have ever had in that position on almost every throw he makes.

Its much different catching a ball in mid air and a DB push you and you land on ground

Than running straight towards big ass special team guys trying to gang tackle you

Many of you are missing the fact that it's not Smith's decision or want as to whether he does it or not....it is ultimately Coach Fox's decision as to whether he does punts or not. The fact that whether Smith wants to do it or not doesn't mean poo, it is Fox's decision. Smith does as he is told.
