I'm glad the Kraken is gone

Mr. Hardy is certainly not a great public speaker.  He needs to hire a PR person to do all his public speaking.

Fwiw, I don't know if Hardy was guilty of the actual crime or not.  But he was certainly guilty of poor judgement and that wasn't the first time he was guilty of it.  I think that is the primary reason that the Panthers let him go.

Once the media decides you are a scumbag there isn't much you can do about it other than kiss their ass and hope they change their mind.  Just look at how long its taken poor Cam to get away from all the baggage the media put on him when he came into the league and he's been a fuggin angel for four years, except for all those towel wearing episodes that the media thought proved its narrative.  Sure, guilty or not,  Greg is an idiot but professional sports are full of idiots, not to mention cheaters, liars and people CONVICTED of much more serious crimes than Greg has ever even been accused of committing.  So one has to wonder just what is it about the Greg Hardy case that has made him the sports medias #1 villain for over a year now?

I just know that he sat at home for almost an entire season, soaking up franchise tag cap space when we could have let him ride off into the sunset. We'd have come out better and he, well, still got to keep the paychecks.

Remember when he posted the photo of his Bentley's speedometer registering 100 mph? If you couldn't figure out he was going to be an albatross around our neck at some point, then you weren't paying attention. And remember the couple of seasons he had with us while we waited for him to actually perform up to his potential? The guy has one outstanding season (getting a whole bunch of sacks in one game against Atlanta) and he's all of a sudden the king of the hill?

He was a nut case that we should have let walk sooner. Couldn't be happier to see him on Dallas' roster. He oughtta be really interesting in that town.

Geez, is the NFL really hurting this bad for controversy that they have to pay someone to clutch their pearls over Hardy soundbites? Literally nothing he said was offensive. He still contends that he is innocent, so why in the hell would he act any differently?

And none of us know what happened between him and Nicole Holder. What we do know is that her own attorney dropped her, that she was a no-show at the trial, and that she took a pay off, which I think speaks to what she's about. The NFL gives a kid millions of dollars and expects them not to do stupid poo/fug stupid hoes? We should have hired a handler for him like the Vikings did for Cris Carter.

I hate that he's not here anymore. If I thought for a second that Holder wasn't full of poo, I might have a problem with it. I just don't buy it.

What does it say about what Hardy is about that he paid her off instead of being confident in his innocence?

It says he was probably advised that it would resolve the matter quicker. He's not going to trial anymore, is he? Back before he paid her off, wasn't it up in the air as to how long it would take to even come to trial? He could have been waiting years to clear his name and losing the prime years of his career, waiting in limbo.

He was in trial when he paid her off and it was thrown out.

The point of this thread is the current negative media attention Greg still brings with him. He is making funny comments, or at least he thinks it is funny, which allows CNN to talk about the kind of player he is, then how dirty Jerry Jones is due to his remark. If Greg was still here, would they say Jerry Richardson is a dirty old man, how dare he keep this kind of player employed.

Thank God it is Dallas and not us! We have had enough negative media perception to last a lifetime. Remember Ray-Ray said Steve Harvey.
