I'm glad the Kraken is gone

Second, assaulting a woman (allegedly) isn't a mistake. Not even close.

Third, you're defending the guy on a situation you have minimal information about and I never labeled him as a "woman beater". Isn't defending him blindly the exact same thing?

Say all you want about Holder as a person, legal technicalities or whatever, the fact is Hardy was convicted during a bench trial of assaulting Nicole Holder as well as threatening her life. He also treated the entire court process like a joke which leads me to the real reason I'm glad he's gone...He demonstrated multiple times while in Carolina the willingness to make questionable decisions that jeopardized his football and personal life. If you want to look past all of these things that's fine. Me, I'm quite happy with this organization not paying a ticking time bomb millions to potentially jeopardize his playing status again.

Call me a "white knight" or whatever you want, I don't really care. The fact is it's pretty easy to not get wrapped up in situations like this (assuming you're not in a serious relationship with a person, which he wasn't at the time). Whether you're the one instigating it, or it's through the acquaintance of a person with such low character as you portray Nicole Holder with, if you use good judgement it's easy to walk away. Holder's friend admitted Hardy's relationship with Holder was bad for awhile....so end it, really simple.

First let me start off that it's a felony to pay someone off to not show up to trial, and let's not act like the prosecutors didn't look high and low for her, plus in the article you have linked even the prosecutor's were having a hard time comparing holder's stories together and stated there was too much inconsistency. The fact that holder accepted the settlement point's more towards her being a gold digger then Hardy beating her. Seems she was more worried about the money then being beaten and thrown on guns which if she was telling the truth could have easily sued Hardy afterwards.

Second never said assaulting a woman was an mistake, but to condemn every man and label them a woman beater after one incident is short sighted

third, that's my point you have your opinion, and i have mines, but for some reasons when people don't see on the same page as someone they're automatically an idiot and don't know anything, it's asinine to think either one of our opinions is superior to the other since we both have minimal info on the situation.

i don't know anything about the white knight thing unless your talking about Dark Souls, but to automatically assume the worst when a male gets pinned with domestic charge or assault charge on a woman is pretty absent minded especially if you know how easily it is to have a man charged with that.

and give the convicted thing a rest, when the case got thrown out so did the conviction.....if she wanted justice she would have showed up to court

how many times do you have to be proven wrong on this. Do you understand how NC law works?

show me the conviction on Hardys record, show me the evidence he paid holder off, show me a realiable witness who can back up holders claims, show me the records of holder calling the police first and not fleeing the scene, show me where holder was not high on Coke and acting crazy that night.

There was no trial after the appeal because the case was dropped due to  insufficient evidence. Meaning they cant prove he is guilty, meaning in the great country of the USA you are innocent UNTIL PROVEN guilty(something a lot guys seem to forget)

like I said, he has been proven of 0 wrong doing. The judge trial never happened.

I would agree with this statement except one huge fact. If the courts sealed the conviction, how and why did the NFL get access to their investigation into Hardy's case? I am not joining this argument as it is baseless, however I have always wanted to know how the NFL got the information it needed to convict Hardy. Anyone have the answer, besides the NFL threating Mecklenburg County with a lawsuit?
