So Ginn is on pace for 816/12, have we found our legit no 2?

816 yds/12 TDs. This isn't a fluke considering Ginn balled out in this offense 2 years ago with Cam and is doing so again this year.. He is on pace for over 800 rec yds and 12 TDs, he is getting a little up there in age (will be 31 by next season) but he hasn't been a starter his whole career which means a lot less mileage than other WRs in the league his age.

Realistically I see Ginn producing at this level for a solid 4 more seasons and start slowing down when he hits 35..

So come next year with KB back, have we finally found our 1/2 punch at WR, at least for the next few years?

Legit number 2? No. He'll probably our number 2 next year but I wouldn't call him a "legit" one. His numbers are what they are because Cam has no one else to throw to. And I seriously doubt he catches 12 TDs. Regardless, this season will really help him develop so he could be even better next season. I guess we'll see.

Funchess will be the #2. It just takes time.  Ginn is a good #3 though

I will be honest, I'm starting to get a little concerned about Funchess, I'm not going so far as to say he's a bust or anything and yes I realize he's a rookie but other than that one catch he held onto, he's not even flashing and at least showing signs that's he's starting to "get it" with KB's size and Ginn's speed, I like that duo better than KB/Funch

I'm not so sure, that out route against TB in the redzone for short yardage for the TD shows he might be developing more than just a deep threat

He's always been more than a deep threat.  Nobody has ever used him for anything more though.  People forget that both times he's been here, we've used him a lot for drags, slants, hitches, hitch/go, etc.  He can do all of those things, and he should, because of his speed and ability with the ball in open field.  I wouldn't call him a legit #2, but even as a #3 he could be very productive.

He's another Eddie Royal type receiver. He will have good spells, but he's not really a legit number #2, more of a #3 type option. But he has been productive here and has good chemistry with Cam, so perhaps he can carve out a significant role for himself going forwards.

As for Funchess, he's still converting from a tight end to wide receiver. His last year in college was his first year lining up as a wide receiver. So he's still a pretty raw prospect that will need to be nurtured and may be a season or two away from contributing. It's different to Benji who had played receiver throughout college. He had a lot to learn but he also knew enough about playing the position and using his body to his advantage to help him. Funchess is at a different stage of his development and we'll have to be patient. But it wouldn't surprise me if we end up drafting another receiver next year to add another weapon.

I could see Ginn continuing to have a significant role on our offense for the next 1-2 seasons.  His speed is really something we need and can use, and his rapport with Cam is only increasing.  Clearly in our system, rapport and chemistry with Cam is not something to take lightly.

having benjamin back will help him enormously i think

It's not like when Funchess gets snaps now that they're doubling him or rolling coverage his way, so having Benjamin back drawing double coverage wouldn't really affect anything. Funch just has to improve in a lot of areas.
