He has gotten better at understanding the big picture and not having to make a highlight on every play. He has learned it's okay to check a pass down to a running back if the man down field isn't open instead of forcing terrible passes. Even throwing the ball away and moving on to the net play if need be. Instead of trying to run forever and taking huge hits, he gets the first down and slides. He has gotten a lot better at decision making and that is crucial with not having any star players around him. Look the fug out when he gets playmakers around him is all I have to say.

It's especially impressive that he's not forcing throws given the limited abilities of our receivers. KB coming back next year should help a lot.

The Oline.

Think about how many times you have seen Cam sit back in the pocket and scan the field.  I saw a few plays where he had a left to right progression, then when back right to left.  Never used to have that time before.  It's hard to throw a deep ball with a DT in your rib pads.

It's not like I see a whole new Cam, it's just he had time to do stuff.  No Bell, No Silatolu, No Chandler...

He's going through his progressions so much more efficiently now (partly due to the OL improvement).  But I felt like he sometimes locked on to a guy too much his first few seasons or would try to make too much happen at times, I can already think of multiple occasions this year where Cam has checked down to like an RB or Dickson this year and it ended up being a very positive play for us.  That's the biggest improvement I've seen in him.

My initial response was Touch, but to now I am debating between Touch & Analyzing a defense.

Pro for Touch

* I have noticed on many occasions he is throwing the ball with different speeds instead of just the fast ball. This has made his ball much more catchable and a lot less overthrows. I have not seen him with complete misses that I have seen him have in years past. He is also throwing a great deep ball with plenty of loft making it easier for WRs to make plays on the ball.

Pro for Analyzing a Defense

* He is so much more comfortable making calls on the line and making audibles. I also like how much he is looking off defenders. Now is it that he analyzing more OR is he finally having time to go to a 2nd, 3rd and 4th option? I say a little of both.

I love my QB!

My choice is pretty similar to the "decision making" one, but more specifically it's his patience.  He's moving around in the pocket more and waiting for the right choice to appear (as opposed to making the wrong choice, previously he was making the choice that was the best at the time, but not in the end...small distinction).  That's what I think has improved the most: patience.

his accuracy on the short and intermediate routes is on the money this year. his deep routes are also on the money, as we're not seeing the overthrows that plagued him over the past two seasons.

part of this is because he's developed as a passer and part of it's because the offensive line is doing a very good job of keeping him clean.

There's a lot of things, many of which have already been said, so I'll just add that I don't see him throwing off his back foot nearly as much as I used to. Obviously its easier to do when you don't have a guard being shoved backwards into your face while you're trying to throw. Not sure if that's the single biggest thing or not, though.
