More CAP

His age is deceptive. Remember, he had 2 years after high school where he didn't play. He didn't get much of an opportunity at Auburn until last season. He's got some mileage left on those legs. He can play to 32-33 at a high level, if only because he doesn't have the wear and tear of a typical 25 year old RB in the NFL.

I totally agree about that his age shouldn't be a factor, as far as wear and tear goes. I was just thinking that if he didn't have the starting job by the time that he hits 27/28, it'd seem like DG might start looking towards the draft.

FWIW, I'll be shocked if he isn't the starting RB next year, if not sooner.

His strength happens to be J-Stew weakness: vision. CAP sees holes fast and gets through them. Even in Stewarts prime I thought he had below average vision, he was so great after first contact that it didn't matter.

At this point I still think Stewart May be the better overall back though.

I really agree with you. Stewart always seemed like the best athlete on the field and not really the best running back. That works when you have a competent oline. But when holes aren't there, he doesn't know how to set up blocks, or he'll cut the wrong way, or bounce out late. Just never really saw the vision and instinct as a runner.

But he is a big, strong, fast SOB that will Ronde Barber your head into the dirt.
