Im sorry but I just hate the Seahawks more than our NFCs rivals

What makes this even worse is it should have been ruled a safety for the Lions and then flagged for intentional batting. The safety is a scoring play and should have been reviewed in the final 2 minutes.

In case anyone is not familiar with the rules of a safety here is the rule.

"It is a safety if the offense commits a foul in its own end zone; or when an impetus by a team sends the ball behind its own goal line, and the ball is dead in the end zone in its possession or the ball is out of bounds behind the goal line."

This has nothing to do with offense or defense. If a team team's player causes the ball to cross their goal line then there are only 2 outcomes. Safety or Touchdown in favor of the team that did not force the ball into the end zone.

If the ball were fumbled and laying motionless at the 1 yard line and a defender were to slide and hit it into the end zone and then recover it in the end zone, then the defensive team would give up a safety.

Whoever creates the impetus of the ball going into the end zone is the team charged with a safety. Calvin Johnson did not fumble the ball into the end zone, the fumble occurred at the 1-yard line and the force driving the ball into the end zone was created by Kam.

That make it even worse by the officials and the crew responsible for reviewing plays in the last 2 minutes. They screwed up twice on one play at the end of the game that determined the outcome.

I thought if SEA would have recovered the ball in the endzone instead of bating it out, it would have been a touchback, no?

When the fumble happened, the ball ended up in the endzone and it was a live ball, meaning if SEA recovers the fumble its a touchback, it DET recovers the fumble, its a touchdown. (silimar to kick return, if the catcher touchs the ball inbounds it would be a touchback if the ball ends up outofbounds behind the endzone; and similarly if the catcher touches the ball outside of endzone and then gets tackeld in the endzone or drops the and it goes out of bounds behind the endzone, its a safety)

I think the quoted rule applies if the live ball (after fumble) was NOT in the endzone, and the SEA forces it out of bounds behind the endzone. Then yeah, its a safety.

I am by no means defending SEA but I thought it was a legal play.

Something about that whole god forsaken team irks me, im not going to deny it, yes the fact they beat us has a little to do with it but it goes deeper than that. I think RW and T3bow are cut from the same, fake christian, attention whoring cloth.. How that team NEVER get calls from refs, how the refs LITERALLY gave them two wins by breaking the rules, once against Green Bay and tonight.

I hate Richard Sherman with a passion and dont get me started on that selfish, sack of poo, me first, hold out Kam Chancellor. Convenient, he comes back against the worst team in the NFL. Oh, speaking of Christian, lets ask RW what his god says about divorce..

They are LUCKY not good, two SBs be damned. Broncos, Patriots, Packers.. THOSE are teams that are legitmately good teams, not the flukey, lucky Seahawks. Im sorry, I know its a unwritten commandment.. "Thou shall not hate another team more than a division rival." But im sorry, I cannot muster the same disdain, loathsome hate for the NFCs like I do for the Seahawks.

Don't have anything to say about all that religious stuff. But, by the way I felt when that game ended last night, even when I thought that the fumble was just unlucky for the Lions, I agree with the sentiment. This could just b because Tampa and New Orleans suck, and because we don't have a run in with Atlanta until December, but I was pissed. Hearing that the call was botched just makes it worse.

Bright side is, I think we have a shot at beating the this year. Doing it in Seattle would just make it that much sweeter.

My thinking is the NFL has an image problem when it comes to attracting female fans, but for whatever reason, casual female fans seem to be drawn to the Seahawks...I see it in large number of NC native women who have become Seahawk fans over the last 3 years (it's the most annoying fugging thing). I honestly believe the NFL gives special treatment to Seattle for this very reason. The Seahawks need to be perpetual winners in order to retain the female demographic.

dude I thought I was the only one to notice this, Why so many gals from NC? I mean I guess its a nationwide epidemic but Ive met like multiple girls who love Seattle just cause of "muh Russel Wilson" and "muh NC State" its fuging retarded, but whatever cant have em all. They probably don't even watch half their games because they arnt in the fuging market, but jersey sales rule, and I guess their jersey's are "hip".
