How many missed sacks does Kony Ealy have?

Kony is one of our best run stoppers on the entire defensive line, I don't know if you guys understand football but that's kinda important.

Meh... I would give up a run stuffing DE for a pass rushing DE. We have enough run stoppers on this team.

You win football games by stopping the run.

When a team is forced to throw the football more than they like thats when the take aways happen...

I think kony is doing his job, combine that with the other 10 on defence doing their jobs you get 4-0 starts.

Until you go up against Rodgers/Brady/Manning and you get curb stomped for having no pass rush.... I agree with his sentiment, give me Hardy over ANY of our current D linemen any day of the week. A pass rushing DE is the only way to win SUPERBOWLS in the NFL these days. If your D cant stop the pass you wont get past the QB elite that seem to find themselves in the post season year-in and year-out.

No doubt i see the argument.  But i dont think thats what kony is being asked to do.

Plus if that was the case we would not have been put out by san fran in 2013.

Team defence wins IMO.

If he doesn't start getting sacks this season, they're gonna draft his replacement in 16

Not if history or common sense is any indication.

Player   Rookie   Year 2   Year 3    Year 4
CJ             0           6           4            11.5
Hardy        3           4           11          15
Ealy           4           0(X)       ?             ?

Yea they will draft the replacement for a guy who had more sacks than CJ or Hardy in their first season and CJ/Hardy didn't really come into their own until year 3/4. They may very well draft another DE in round 1 or 2 but it won't be to replace Ealy...especially not on early downs.

And I'm not even the biggest Ealy fan but facts is facts.
