Interesting Schedule Stat

Looks like we aren't the only team that should be getting criticized for an "easy" schedule (as if we got to choose it).  I was just looking at the standings to try and figure out if any team has really dominated a tough schedule.  Turns out the answer is no, at least based on my favorite stat: Wins.

There are 6 unbeaten teams left.  NONE of these teams has a win over any team that still holds a record over .500.  The same actually holds true for every over .500 team in the league.  Not a single winning team has beaten another winning team in terms of record this season.

I know it is early in the season and mathematically things like this are going to happen with such a small sample size, but it just shows that we shouldn't feel inferior to ANY team based upon on field results up to this point in the young season.  Most teams are very very average, which is why there are 10 (probably 11 after tonight) 2-2 teams and even more teams worse than that.  Most wins in the NFL are over average (at best) competition.  Be happy for what they are: Wins.

Tony K tried to play this lame card on PTI today, saying he thought the Falcons were the better 4-0 team in the NFCS because Carolina "hasn't played anybody."  Wilbon called him out and asked him who has Atlanta played?  Tony ignored his rebuttal.  Classic espn.
