Best and Worst players at every position week 4

Shaq had a lot of trouble with big RBs in college from what I saw. He's going to have trouble with certain RBs due to his size. You can just look at our schedule and see which RBs are going to give him trouble. Marshawn Lynch, Eddie Lacy, I'm not going to list them all, but this is going to be a bit of a problem. Also it looks to me like Shaq is making some rookie mistakes that are hurting our defense. That's to be expected though, and his speed is huge bonus.

I wouldn't call Martin a big back though...

Carolina was one of the few rain games as well so weather alone was going to impact tackling Sunday.  I won't put too much into them trying to hammer guys vs the run in that type weather.   Both RBs require you to wrap up that played (including Stew).  Can't just thump them. Both RBs shed guys all game at first contact.

I didn't think much of him then either.  Had binoculars on him at the home games.

I'm not impressed but it's not me he has to impress.  He was pegged as an impact player, what has he impacted?

So

Until yesterday Shaq was the highest graded first-round rookie this season according to PFF.

The former Washington star performed admirably during Sunday’s 27-22 win over New Orleans, where he notched seven tackles, a sack and a quarterback hurry.

Shaq would have had another sack yesterday, instead he just forced Winston into an intentional grounding penalty.

Dude is doing exactly what you expect from a first round pick: contributing from day one.

believe me, I hope the experts are right. I am not an expert.  and maybe he'll come along when the lights get brighter in the next 4 weeks...with experience

we will see.

Perhaps not having Luke has not helped him much either but taking bad angles and such, that's on him

I'm still waiting til the off season to judge what I call a awful draft class. Shaq looks like he has some skills, but they will not be seen fully til TD retires. Once Luke is back, does shaqs snaps fall even more. He's only playing in about 50% of them now...... but he's on STs just what you want in a 1st1!111!!!!!!

But I compared PFF to a good posters opinion, cause that's what they are opinion. If they knew the role of players during the called play and had former coaches on staff, I'd put more stock in them.
