So here we go, time to get ready for Seattle. Will we finally get the win?

Ron is 0-4 against the Bye week and 0-4 against Seattle, combining an 0-8 situation we are headed into. We have a bye week then go into Seattle. We have come so close against Seattle so many times and you know when you saw them on the schedule this is one of the games you wanted to win badly.

We are 4-0. Will we be 5-0?

What do you think and how do you think it will go down?

I'd be as happy as anyone to beat Seattle (and think we have a really really good shot), but I'm more focused on the 2nd quarter as a whole.  If we can find a way to be 2-2 or better and come out healthier than we are now, that is a huge victory in my book.

I'll say this we are more primed than ever to beat Seattle. First we have experience playing them, this game almost feels like a division game considering how familiar our teams are with eachother; this familiarity will be to our advantage, our defense has always been able to shut down their run game and now that our pass defense is elite I think Wilson will really struggle against our defense. Now the question is can Cam lead us into another stellar victory? Cam has been able to expose teams in the pass game with minimal Wr help, but will we need more fire power to get past Seattle's defense? These are my only questions/concerns.

BUT overall I think that's it's our time to win. We have the edge and intimidation factor being 4-0 while they are at the bottom half of their division. If we can win turnover battle, play 60 minutes of pressure football, and control time of possession we WILL win even in their house.

It's our biggest test of the year and I'm saying that this talented mix of veteran and young players will topple the Seattle dynasty in 2 weeks. What say you?

    • I don't know--they represent the entire body of players and this be determined, if it got to that point, by a vote of all veterans and rookies who are part of the union.  If the elite players are getting 50% of all cap increases, the non-elite players with shorter careers might want a bigger slice of the pie and vote accordingly.  To say that the Union would not go for it is not something I agree with--it would be the union that proposes it--based on a proposal and a majority vote.  If the veteran players vote for an equal distribution framework, then all 53 on a roster benefit from a cap increase that is applicable to the entire team.  Not sure how labor laws might be impacted...
    • Carter, Graham, or Walker and I might roll the dice hoping Walker is around later.  If Hunter is there at 8, we are about to get a really nice haul for trading back.
    • Oh well. That's his fault if he wants to eat up all the cap space and have no protection as a result. A big part of why Brady has all those rings is that he generally took team friendly deals. Not that he wasn't making a mega ass ton of money, but he wasn't leaving his team cap strapped due to his contract while Peyton Manning generally tried to negotiate for every dime he could get forcing the Colts to make tough decisions.
