Advice on who to start this week. PLEASE.

Have to start Caddy as he's the number 1 there. Coffee is too much of an unknown. Edge is out of there so you may get some goalline duties from Hightower. I'd avoid Stewart just for the simple fact he's been hurt and not practicing. I'd love for him to score 3 times this week...but I just don't see it.

Hightower has to contend with Wells actually. Edge is in Seattle. I would still go with Hightower because he has worked hard at improving his game, and he will get his carries this first week, if no other. IF you believe that Stew is healthy, then play him. Ptherwisw, I'd try Cadillac because the Bucs have obviously fallen in love with him after seeing him in the pre-season, so they must know something.

i agree.

i'm surprised that people would even consider hightower...even if the opponent is san francisco.

that's because he's the starter, and he has had a good pre-season. TB's coach already said that they are going to use a 2-2-1 approach, which means Cadillac and Ward will get 40 percent of the carries each, and Graham the other 20 percent (but it could change as the season goes on). This is the first game, however, and TB will probably stick to the script as much as possible (as will the Cards).

he had a good preseason his rookie season too.

since wells was hurt, he's the starter by default.

even with limit touches and being fragile as mr. glass, cadillac is still a better pick than hightower.

I don't agree with the starter by default theory. I think he's the starter because he is more experienced. Now whether or not he'll be the starter in a month is a different story. It will be interesting to see who does outdo who tomorrow. Between Caddy and Timmy, that is.

    • Because being a pauper in the NFL is still making a king's ransom. NFL vet min is roughly 18x the median salary in the U.S.
    • At some point I sense it's gonna create some hate and locker room cancer between these cap hogs and the rest of the players. When the top 6 or 7 players take 80% of the cap, the other 40 plus guys are gonna get pissed off, especially when they're still only winning 5 or 6 games. Why put everything on the line to play with guys who are only in it for themselves?
    • I am just spitballing here--let it play out and I will go to bed: Let's say Mahome's contract comes due and he insists on $100m per season.  Is there a team that would find the money to pay it?  Would KC? It was in 2015 (I think) when Cam was getting $20m and it was hard to grasp.  In the past decade, the price of a franchise QB has tripled.  Then the next QB bases his contract on the Mahomes deal.  The trend has been the last QB contract is the highest.  I see nothing to discourage that trend--Greed can destroy a league.  Personally, I don't watch baseball any more, and the NBA has a small group of about 8 teams that appear on national TV and they have players who make more than some eastern block countries.  Ticket prices go up---and we are headed for pay-per-view very soon across the board-
