what are the panthers hiding from us about luke

Recommended Posts

Maybe,  except Josh Norman came back from his concussion the following week.

Google concussion rehabilitation time. You have the same internet I do. A quick search reveals 20-50 days up to 100 if you over exert yourself while healing. All of those are averages and as was said, every individual is different. Dr Leeroy said 4-6 weeks. Josh came back in a week. Ok. What is it you want me to say?

Look, the Panthers unnecessarily signed Luke to a massive extension when he had 2 years left on his rookie contract.

This was a poor business decision.

They must proceed with extreme caution to protect this investment. Having done what they did, I'd expect nothing less.

investing is all about the future. As salary cap rises, players salaries will increase. The deal that was made was very good financially for us.

Ron was probably bummed because he wants Luke back but knows he can't rush him back out there. Probably are making him wait until Seahawks week. Or something happened at practice. Or he had received bad news about something not involving Luke at all.

Quit freaking out people. Luke will be back when Luke is back. I'd be willing to bet that the independent cleared him for this week and Gettleman said "Ron, sit him. It's TB. We don't need him back for this one".

Klein is more than capable of filling the role in the meantime. He isn't the coverage genius that Luke is, but we have Shaq, so it's fine.

Didn't like when Rivera was asked in the press conference today if Luke could possible by out for the year, Ron said "i dont know" Ron looked really bummed in the presser too. Really hope it's not that bad. He looks like the same ol Luke on the sideline but that means nothing

RR looked like I do when people here keep saying sign Hakeem Nicks.

He's been getting the same question about Luke every day. When? When? When? It's unknowable. Just like when your wife's pregnant and she has her due date, but she could go into labor anytime before or after. Luke will be ready when he's ready. Yes it's frustrating, but at least your bladder isn't being crushed, you can still sleep on your belly, and wear shoes you can lace-up yourself.

I was just pointing out what you are saying here,  everyone is different. Your previous post said "at least three weeks",  which is obviously,  not always the case.

Agreed. However its getting to the point now where the "I don't know" answer is wearing thin. It doesn't make any sense to me that the head coach of the team "doesn't know" the medical status of one of its top 2 stars, and constantly makes reference to RV being the one to speak to. Surely the coach knows the day to day status (even it it changes very little) of ALL players, and certainly one as important as 59.

If he came out and said something like " I cant discuss that" it would be different. He isn't a doctor for sure, but also he's surely getting daily updates from the medical staff.

All bullshitting aside, has anyone from the press straight up asked RR if Luke suffered any other injuries besides concussion?

Ahhh .... I suspect it was a neck or back injury sustained when the Panthers trainer decided to use Luke to help break his fall.  He could have gone down on his hands or better yet ... fallen away from him ... similar to how a Dad would risk injury to avoid falling on his kids.  Instead, it appeared that he chose to reach out and grab Luke on his way down.  THAT must be the injury they are not disclosing.    (LOL)

Cam was gloomy in the presser as well if you watch.....im going with them knowing they were going to have to speak on things they diddnt want to.......such as the ref thing, luke, CJ.....and what not.

Seriously?  Have you ever watched Cam's wednesday press conference before?  He was no more gloomy than he usually is.

It is NOT that the answer of "I don't know" is wearing thin.  It is that you do not like that answer and want more.  But, the team and Ron could really care less what you, I , or any other fan want as it relates to answers on this question.

Fans just have a hard time understanding and accepting this.

I was reporting back what medical studies have determined, that is to say, that on average it's at least 3 weeks and therefore we shouldn't be too alarmed. But I reread the post and it came off a little snarky. Not my intention. I needed a Snickers. :)
