No sign of Luke at practice possibly out until after the Bye

To me, it looked like he got concussed with maybe a jammed knock or pinched-nerve. I've had a pin chef nerve in my neck before and half my body went numb and I couldn't feel my arm to and lost a lot of co from in that arm.

i really think he jammed his neck and pinched a nerve that connects to one of his legs. These types of injuries just take a little time to re-correct themselves and if he suffers another blow like that, it could be disastrous.

If he were to get cleared he'd be playing. The bye has nothing to do with it, nor does Tampa being an easier matchup than the 4 after the bye. Many keep bringing up that the coaching staff is holding him out or some nonsense like that, but that's just plain ridiculous. He hasn't been cleared yet by doctors. Coaching staff/management have absolutely nothing to do with it.

If he gets cleared this week, he'll play.  Simple as that.

The Panthers have never really messed with the injury reports like Belicheat does and they've said it's just a concussion and no neck injury so I really doubt that it's anything other than a concussion.

The researchers used a concussion-symptom scale and found that patients who engaged in the most mental activity took about 100 days to completely recover, having no headaches, dizziness or blurred vision. For those who gave their brains time to heal, recovery time was cut to an average of 43 days, the study found.

http://consumer.healthday.com/cognitive-health-information-26/brain-health-news-80/power-down-to-speed-concussion-recovery-study-683556.html

And this:

We then looked at cognitive activity days and the time to recovery, and divided participants into quartiles. We found that those participating in the most amount of activity, meaning the highest quartile, took 100 days to recover vs those in the other 3 quartiles, who took 20-50 days to recover.

This study, I believe, has 2 important findings. The first is that those who participated in the most amount of cognitive activity took the longest to recover. This is important because up until now, there has been very little data to actually suggest that cognitive rest is important. While most physicians have been recommending cognitive rest as a mainstay of concussion treatment, we did not have any actual data to support this up until now.

The second most important part of this is that those in the other 3 quartiles took relatively the same amount of time to recover. This would suggest that mild to moderate activity after the initial amount of rest that is recommended is not detrimental to patient recovery and that perhaps cognitive activity at some level may be beneficial.

I certainly hope that's all it is. Just looked like an injury that I've had before...but I'm no doctor and certainly have no true ties to Luke or the franchise, so I'm going with what you typed and hoping for the best.
