Why guys like Cam and Luke are worth every single penny..

Sure Cam and Luke are all pro, cornerstone franchise players, ofcourse they have the stats you can point out for both of them, both have countless highlight reel plays, but there is one simple thing that I think is more important than any of the flashy stuff like stats, front flips in the endzone for TDs, interceptions, big, scary looking hits that knock opposing players flat on the turf.. Love of the game, and these guys have that in spades.

I know, gag me with a spoon, "love of the game." Its so cliche it makes me sick, I hate cliches. Let me go deeper. There are certain players that have a true love and deep passion of the game, they have this true, deep desire to keep getting better and better and better and they have this undying desire to win..

There is always a lot of talk and risk signing players to mega contracts, frankly I hate big contracts, I hate how NFL contracts are structured, I think the way they are structured enables players to become complacent and stop caring. With Cam and Luke, I had 0 doubt in my mind they are the type of players to mail it in after getting paid. While Luke has missed action there is no denying he was playing some of his best football and Cam oh Cam oh Cam, playing the best ball of his career.

Then you have guys like Stewart, Johnson and D Will to name a few. Yes I am calling them out, as soon as they got paid, they mailed it in. Stewart has looked very mediocre this season and I stand by my prediction he will be benched for Cap by mid season and cut next season. CJ hasnt looked terrible since his contract but no doubt he has seen steady declines.. D Will is cut from the same cloth, got paid and mailed it in.

Not Cam and Luke, these two individuals are a very rare breed, they have this love for the game that frankly only select players have. Call me naive but while ofcourse im sure they like money like everyone else, I truly think being great and winning is more important to them than money. Josh Norman is the next man up due for a contract and while he is playing at all pro level, im not quite sure he has that "it" that Cam and Luke possess, that undying passion for the game. Gman will have to make that call. All I know is NOTHING grinds my gears more than players that mail it in after getting paid, drives me crazy.

yeah you had me, then you lost me...

Agree with the love of the game part (passion), but where I thought you were going is relating it to Jared Allen wanting to come here.  With 2 cornerstone players at the most important positions on each side of the ball, I expect more players wanting to come here even if it means leaving a few mil on the table.
