We should trade for him, he'd resign here and we'd pay him. Alshon is a true #1 receiver that hasnt even went through his prime yet exactly what we need.

I know it's unlikely but the thought of kb, jeffrey, funchess, olsen, and some speedster in ginn  and brown would be spectacular in the coming years.  I will keep dreaming.

If the coaching staff thinks Alshon can put us over the top and make us SB contenders I see no reason what so ever not to trade for him. The patriots last year rented Revis, we can do the same with Alshon.  

 

People act as if a second round pick is gonna be some home run all-pro when Funchess has done nothing, and Ealy looks like the second coming of Everret Brown.

First off, you would obviously negotiate an extension with him before finalizing any trade. There's no 13 game rental.

Also, we have more than enough cap space going forward to get him. Gettleman has set the team up very nicely in the future cap wise, and there's still plenty of obvious moves to be made to clear even more cap room (dumping Stew next year, for example).

If we can get him for a 2nd rounder and even a semi-decent contract we'd be stupid not to.
