Video of the Cam no-call linked in this thread

I'm sure he fell in a manner that was too athletic. Its hard to call because athletic quarterbacks don't seem to be "roughed up" enough to get the call for "roughing the passer."

Just wanted to get the BS out of the way before the real conversation began.

wow, now that I finally saw it ... that was definitely not a late hit.

Kinda makes sense that Cam would say "It was 50/50"  ....completely agree with the no call there.

The 'hit' itself wasn't much, but I think the fact that the ball was so long gone is what makes it unnecessary in my opinion.

lol juding by that video it was absolutely unnecessary roughness.  Was the guy maliciously trying to injure Cam?  No.  But numerous steps after Cam released the ball the guy still had his hands on him and leaned on him/ran through him/whatever he did to cause Cam to fall over.  That gets called for just about every other QB.

Just trying to be clear about what the thread contains since 15 already has the other one.  No malware that my PC detected.

lol, I'm not saying there is any. It's just like the most click-bait-y of titles with a link.

If if it was a bit.ly link i would've been concerned you were trying to sell me cheap, high quality jerseys.

That looks like some acting on Newtons part. The guy just had his hands on him.

I wouldn't doubt there was some acting on Cam's part, but the guy had his hands on him and was still running, so he obviously probably had some weight on Cam which caused Cam to stumble and fall.  Was it remnants of Bountygate?  No, but it was a illegal act.

C'mon now, who DOESN'T love jerseys that are both cheap and high-quality?  Have to be both though.

Ask yourself are we interpreting rules or following them?

The rule states if a QB is taken to the ground after the ball is released it is a personal foul.

Not being a homer and I've argued this even against our team.  I dont care what your name is or who you play for the rules are meant to protect QBs all the time not in spurts.

    • i think i go in the opposite direction of most. my ideal retirement is living in some old downtown area in a flat above some shop or something.  life out in the country was just something i got real tired of. My kids actually miss some of living out there, which i understand. that was where they grew up for the most part. 40 acres with a 2.5 acre pond. it was beautiful, but also way too much (and too expensive) for me to keep up with.
    • FLASHBACK: I remember back when ESPN was just starting--he was their anchor.  They used to show stuff like Rodeo and field hockey--I remember laughing when he went to a commercial mocking a cycling competition in Utah (or something similar--I made that up) and I laughed.  I told my dad, "We may have us a new anchor when we get back from commercial."  When they came back from commercial, Berman was looking very serious and he said, "Any comments by me do not reflect the views of ESPN....The men and women who cycle are dedicated athletes and we are honored to shine light on their sport." (Paraphrasing).  Dad laughed hysterically. My first memory of him--and that was like 1980.
    • Might not have a team without them. Although that probably applies to the Panthers, too.
