Who are the best (and worst) trades the Panthers have ever made?

Rocket Ismail was a good player.

Dumping Tyrone Poole for a 2nd rounder was not bad.
 

The Jeff Lewis trade is by far the worst trade ever.  It set into motion a chain of events that led us to 1-15.

I'd forgotten that was a trade.

We didn't give up much there as I recall, but we got back nothing.

we gave up a 3rd and a 4th and Denver ended up with the one good QB we had. It was an atrocious deal

JJ Jansen and Colin Jones were nice low-end trades that are paying off.

Yeah, I'm not 100% on how that transaction was actually classified, but I believe we traded the 2 1st round picks for Gilbert's rights then we signed him as a FA. If not then I'm going with Everette Brown.

people forget that Gilbert was actually a solid player for us, just not worth giving up what turned into Lavar Arrington and Champ Bailey.

people forget that Gilbert was actually a solid player for us, just not worth giving up what turned into Lavar Arrington and Champ Bailey. 

He legitimately was a solid player.

He just wasn't worth anything close to what we gave up for him.

chris harris didn't play at a high level for long, but that trade was outstanding when we made it. he jumped into a lackluster defense and immediately bumped it up to the next level, forced something like 13 fumbles that year or something absolutely ridiculous. dude was a gamechanger.

Could have had Greg Olsen that year too.

We got Beason and Kalil because of that trade. Revis wouldn't have been in Carolina past his rookie deal anyway, even if we HAD taken him. Definitely don't call that a loss, more like a push
