I am not saying those aren't amazing players, but without CJ, our pass rush pretty well goes down the tubes, as has been displayed MULTIPLE times.

It is becoming obvious that we need a DE in the draft, I hate to be that guy but Kony Ealy is Dave's first real bust. He just can never get containment on run support and commits costly flags at key moments, also has a non existent pass rush. Id trade Norman for Hardy tomorrow if Jerry offered. I miss him every sunday.

He's a quality pass rusher and one of the best run stopping DEs in the league. We can hold down the fort for a while but I hope he heals up and gets back soon.

Yep. In the nine games before the Pats, he had 8.5 sacks. In the 23 games since then, he has 12 sacks.

Defensive ends takes 3 years to develop in the pros. 

This is year 2 for Kony.

CJ has been breaking down for years, sadly.  I'm not sure if it's his fault, or conditioning, or our team is just bad at conditioning (seems like that) but he's not worth 20 mill a year and I'm not sure how much his new contract would be worth.  We may get stuck overpaying.

We seriously should have kept Hardy.  We're going to regret keeping him and it'll ultimately be a failure of a decision by this team.
