Bersin Up; Brandon Williams Gone

If Norwell was better than Silatolu he would have started before week 10 due to injury, am I right?

Our coaching staff is not the best at putting the right players on the field.

But Norwell made it on to the field and stayed on the field, so all that means is that it takes some time but the right people get out there. If anything, that speaks more in favour of Bersin in this case.

BWill couldn't do enough to beat out a guy (Dickson) that had only 10 catches on 17 targets last season.

There is just no logic to this.

Why would the team promote a player to the roster - a move requiring that another player be cut - just to deactivate him?

Putting on my tinfoil hat, the only way that would make sense is if Carolina thought, for any number of reasons, that another team was about to sign him to their 53 and they didn't want that to happen.

Taking the hat back off, I agree and fully expect him to have a jersey today.

they both should be replaced! you guys get attached to mediocre players too often!

Replaced with whom, exactly?

Trading a high pick is pointless since we already have two highly drafted receivers; one of them is just out till next year. And anybody you could trade a low pick for is not gonna be better than Norwood.

Anyone who's actually available to pick up right now is mediocre at best, and probably not even that good (as evidenced by the fact that none of 32 teams want them more than they want their current fourth and fifth receivers.

If you want to talk about upgrading the position next year, there are options.

Right now?  No.
