Bersin Up; Brandon Williams Gone

If Norwell was better than Silatolu he would have started before week 10 due to injury, am I right?

Our coaching staff is not the best at putting the right players on the field.

Or maybe Norwell needed time to adjust to the NFL. Certainly possible that the coaches initially underestimated what Norwell brings to the field, but that's much less likely with Williams and his 2+ years on the team.

yeah, he produces....when we insert him in garbage time.

He isn't physical enough or talented enough IMO to play WR at this level.  I just don't get him being here.  There are hundreds of Bersins....and they aren't on NFL rosters

Bersin made more than one clutch 3rd down catch last year. Not exactly garbage time. I guess you don't actually watch the games.

He has made some plays but I rather give the reps to Norwood who has a lot more upsides and plays the same role in the offense.

BTW Bersin also failed to make a play in the most important game basically sealing the game.

In theory, sure. Reality has shown he's a blocker.

In reality its too small of a sample size to make a judgement. He was never given  the opportunity in the passing game.

BTW my whole disagreement of his release was that it should have been a Brockel who should have been cut. Brockel is basically a blocker with no upsides in the passing game. Wiliams was a better blocker and had more upside in the passing game.

I wa talking about Brockel.

However Williams has thousands of hours of tape on him from practice to preseason to game film. He had a chance. We have UDFA's who found a way to earn a spit and he still got cut. Maybe he'll find a team with an OC who can get something out of him but it's pretty clear he had peaked as a Panther.
