Our home crowd bad? I don't think Phil Sims ever called us out atleast.

Seattle has a partially covered field, which you might think could hold sound in better. However, Kelly Kerns, a local architect who worked on both Seattle's and Kansas City's stadiums, spoke with 41 Action News about their design. He said Arrowhead actually has the advantage.

"At Arrowhead we have a continuous seating bowl without an opening on the end zone like, say, Seattle does, or opening on the corners," said Kerns.

Also, Arrowhead holds about 10,000 more people than CenturyLink. And the suites in Seattle are enclosed, unlike in Kansas City.

IMO, you could literally fill BOA with the exact same fans who attend the KC games and have them cheer for their team....and BOA would be CRAZY loud.  It doesn't take science to go to a Carolina game and a KC Chiefs game and realize the people in the seats treat the experience different.

I drink 1, maybe 2 beers during the actual game.  I'm there to watch and pay attention to the plays.  Not act like an idiot.  But standing and cheering, especially on 3rd down, is a duty of being a fan.  It's the one thing that we can do for our team.  Create noise on the opponent's offensive possessions abd create energy for our team.  Can you imagine the malaise if everyone just sat the entire game?  How do you bang your seat bottom onto your seat back if you're sitting?

Cheering yes. Standing no. I make plenty of noise without standing up. If the seat next to me is empty I will bang on it. If not I just yell a little louder. How about the guy with arthritis in his knees sitting behind you who has been going to the games for 20 years? He should just stay home because you can't make noise without standing up?

Only issue I got w/ the people who like to sit are the extreme sitters in the lower bowl....it could be 3rd down goal for our D in the 4th q and they want everyone sitting.

Situational standing is often complained about in the lower bowl.  There are some people that literally want you seated unless you have to use the restroom.  No exceptions.  I mean if you stand up for literally only 4 plays all game there are still people that will complain about those 4.  That is overboard IMO.

I can't watch a football game without standing up during 3rd down or goal line situations. Even when I'm at home I'm standing 70% of the time. Football games are too intense to sit the entire game.

I do agree with being respectful and I dont drink at the games. But you can't expect a fan to always stay seated. Stand up, make some noise, get pumped up, show a sign of life. The team feeds off of the crowds energy.

If thats the case then show respect but thats not going to be the case most of the time.

I'm not gonna put down or hate on people who are physically incapable of standing up and sitting down multiple times over a 3 hour period. Fair enough. But you can't complain about people acting like fans when you're at a football game.  That's an entitled approach.  "People around me need to cater to my needs, restricting an action that should he expected for the venue I'm at."  It's like wanting to be close to the stage at a show and then complaining that the people around you are moshing.

I am just saying at the stadium be aware of who you might be preventing from enjoying the game. If your entire section wants to stand that's cool. I have first row seats so I never stand while a play is going on. I will jump up and high five the folks around me after a good play though. I will also stand at the bottom of the steps until a play is over before returning to my seat after a trip to the concession stand or bathroom rather than block someones view. Its just common courtesy. Something that isn't all that common anymore in our me first society.

I would have no problem with that. A few times a game is no big deal and just part of the experience. I would just ignore them. Makes you wonder though if those people are constantly pissed off because they go to all the games, sit in the same seats and see a constant stream of fans from other teams and strangers who bought tickets in the secondary market. I know all the people sitting around me.

I have had security ask people to sit down a couple of times. My seats are first row but if someone stands up at the rail of the handicap section and we are in the redzone they literally block my view of half the endzone even if I stand up. Had some asshat Steeler fan with a Leveon Bell Banner last year who got a talking to by the man.
