Playing Panthers Takes a Toll

Nice! I made a thread some months ago that the big difference between Bell and Oher is that Oher is just bad by NFL standards while Bell was "doesn't even belong near a NFL field" kind of bad and that alone would be a tremendous upgrade over Bell and it looks like it's just what we needed. Even on Oher's bad days, it's not even so bad to the point where you want him gone or benched, it's more along the lines of "damn Oher gave up a sack, oh well, he will come back next play."

I know it sounds crazy but even when Oher is bad he atleast looks competent even on a bad day, in other words I highly doubt your going to see gifs or pics of Oher literally blocking one of his own teammates like Bell did

Yea, I didn't think it should have even counted as a sack.  Cam was a runner at that point.  I distinctly remember D. Edwards getting screwed out of a sack a couple years ago (can't remember against who) because the QB was running at the time and even though Edwards tackled him well behind the LOS they said he was a runner and Edwards didn't get the sack.

it really should have been a TFL.

Oher has been doing what we wanted.  He hasn't been spectacular, but he's keeping his guy at bay just long enough in the passing game.

Sadly that is a significant upgrade over Bell.

Speaking of bell I watched him in the line with the titans LOL he's bad poor mariota

I guess I was expecting them to sack Cam like 6 or 7 times. He didn't even go down until the 4th quarter right?

might have been the third, cant remember. i do remember that Watt got that sack because he didnt get penetration, but that Cam stepped up and Watt who was pushed back, was in good position to get him.

Going into this game I was expecting Cam to get sacked multiple times with the Texans defense but our O line is slowly starting to look like a NFL O line.  Or maybe J.J. Watt was just too busy looking for a girlfriends in the stands Sunday and forgot about the game haha.

Watt is the kind of guy who would bang a 60 year-old Susan Sarandon.

We were the tougher football team. We steam rolled them on the first touchdown drive and imposed our will in the running game.

When it was our turn on defense we were killing it with tackls for loss and no gain and when it became apparent that the precious media darling 49ers were going to get whipped, the refs started making up 'head-butting' penalties to give them 1st downs.

We were cheated out of a playoff win, and then the 49ers talked poo all week after the refs game them the game... really left a bad taste in my mouth.

Good news is that I think this team is as good as that team was when we get Luke, Star and Cotchery back. This team is not as good at WR or DE, but we are better on the oline and much better in the secondary.

I don't think I've ever been as mad watching a game as I was watching that bullshit... and it was SO fuging blatant is the bad part.  Throughout the entire.  Damn.  Game.  Lol nooo, not just one call, but every call. They were letting the SF defense jump the snap early, they were lining up damn near in our backfield most the 2nd half... allowing them to play as physical as they wanted but throwing flags anytime we tried to match them.  Absolute fuging bullshit.

Even Aikman and Buck commented on it a couple of times.  Hell, I think Gruden and Tirico even brought it up a full year later in our Cardinals playoff game.

Another thing that pissed me off is how it was literally given 0 attention by ESPN or NFL Network.  When do you EVER see a playoff game that blatantly one-sided in officiating and it's never brought up in the media?  That poo was so fuging rigged to get those Seattle vs SF NFCCG ratings and storylines.
