Lost someone very close to me years ago due to a terrible disease.  She, too, was way too young to go.  I certainly hope with all my heart that your story takes a much brighter, more positive turn.

--Sincerely, the Huddler who's trapped in St Louis until 4 am-ish and has endured three broken-down Greyhound buses today.  Never, ever, ever go Greyhound, folks.

my girlfriend and high school sweetheart was diagnosed yesterday with a cyst in her pineal gland. for those who dont know, the pineal glad is part of the brain stem. yesterday, she temporarily lost use of her right arm and had stroke-like symptoms. please, everyone. she needs your prayers. as do i, since i have to be strong for her. there's a good chance that she will need brain surgery, but unfortunately... there's also a possibility that surgery wont be feasible, seeing as how it is a brain issue. im no doctor, so i dont know more than that. just wanted to bring this to my Huddle family for your prayers to go her way.

Mods, i posted this here for exposure. i understand if you need to move it.

hey, just wanted to let you know that I had surgery to remove a tumor on my brain stem about 4 years ago, was very risky but the doctor was freaking awesome. Not sure if your girlfriend's issue is similar or not, just don't give up hope. The doctor I had is one of the best in the country, if you want his name just let me know. Prayers are with you and God bless.

Prayers dude, my wife died 2 years ago from a heart attack 3 months before she turned 30

Same here, she had cancer.

I'm sorry for your losses. I hope and pray I don't have to bury her. I wept last night when they rushed her to Asheville Missions. She is doing better today, and I hope it continues. I'm not ready to live life without her

Damn, sorry dude, you know how it is then.. how old was she

late 40s.

It's confusing and hard to be the caregiver.  Sometimes they want things to be normal.  Sometimes they need you to be comforting.  Nobody is an expert in this but I'd say to OP don't panic until her doctor considers options and provides her some information.  Real data is much better than sweating what-ifs
