Way too early to say that. DE is incredibly more important to our team than WR. Yes those WRs have already established themselves to some degree while Ealy hasn't done a whole lot, but it's been 18 games. Nowhere near enough to judge the picks. If Ealy turns into Hardy in 2 years which is absolutely within the realm of possibility nobody will be complaining about picking him over those receivers.

Robinson and Moncrief were better picks at the time of the draft and they still would be the better picks today. Gettleman just flat out whiffed on them. I'm not writing off Ealy by any means as he came on strong to end the year last year, but in the deepest WR draft in maybe history we could've landed another stud. 

Speaking of WR's... How bout the guy the Huddle wanted in the 1st round this year? Strong was active week 1 and didn't get a snap and was inactive yesterday.

And at least in my estimation Mario Addison and Wes Horton are serviceable.

Can't imagine how bad DE would look if after Alexander injury if we didn't have Ealy.  Ealy has played pretty well according to Rivera and we're 2-0. 

Oh and BTW both our starting WRs had TDs against a supposedly good secondary...

I know you're a WR freak (I am too to some degree since I used to play it, though I like defense--particularly secondary--more than offense typically, I focus a lot on WR), but you have to admit that DE is a more important position in the way our team is being built under this coaching staff than WR. Yes we all know Shula sucks, but even with a good OC who fits our identity, WR wouldn't be as important to our success as DE. Frank wasn't looking much better than Ealy before he went down and Addison and Horton are great rotational players but not much more. We need a Hardy-level talent again and I'm still hoping Ealy can be our guy across from CJ.

Everyone botched about hardy and cj in year 2 also. DE's take time, they don't make immediate impacts. Hell even the wr last 2 second aren't the norm.
