The Panthers have a garbage receivers and a poor OL.

The issue is the Panthers were so horrible at both positions last season that becoming slightly better makes some fans think we have a superior OL now because it is better than garbage. The OL is still among the bottom in the NFL, and the receiver position is the worse. The fact the Panthers had to put a rookie at the #1 position last season and may have to put a rookie at the #1 position this season speaks volumes. It is unheard of to put a team in a position to rely on a rookie as a team's #1 WR.

Draft Next year should be WR WR WR WR WR WR WR

I get your point, KK, but seriously, I expect us to go DE, OT, WR, DT, CB

I am HOPING we have a rising star in Funchess, Benjamin back, Brown, and maybe even a Norwood making our WR corps strong.

I noticed all the WRs Indy has been grabbing in the draft as I watched the game last night.   Moncrief, TY Hilton, and 2 young uns I can't remember their names (Montogomery and blank)

It didn't help much because Luck was out of it on the OL.

BR is the huddle forum in a different format. All opinions, no real insight. Top Dawg might as well just cite a PU thread.

BR is a big multimillion dollar company backed by a media giant. It also has made giant leaps as far as quality and insight. It also affiliated with some well respected journalists.  To blanket it and all of its writers as quacks with no insight is just inaccurate.  It's not surprising though,  as some people still dog out Hyundai also.  I guess it's just easier to trumpet a stale narrative than to judge a work based upon its individual merit.

I don't care what PFF says about Oher, he's been far superior to what we had last year.

Yes, let's all bitch about Oher, when Cam's been able to stand in the pocket for fuging ever over the first two games.  This line is doing a damn good job, even if Oher whiffs a couple times per game.  At least when he gets his hands on people, he wins most of the time.  It's a metric poo ton better than the 0.6 seconds per snap he had last season.

Good news is we are 2-0 and can hopefully get Funchess and Norwood up to speed in the perceived weak part of the schedule. If not I hope we continue making the  chicken salad from the chicken poo.

I think this is huge...we start slow every year.  Last season it took half the season to stabilize the offensive line.  This year its the wide receivers.  Good thing is we are winning right now.  As long as we can keep getting by as Funchess and hopefully Norwood learn then we may be ok towards the back of the season when the big tests start happening.  Philly Brown can settle back into his slot receiver role, Ginn can be the occasional deep threat, and Cothery (if healthy) can be the crafty veteran receiver.

Think of how bad the offensive line was last year and how decent it was at the end.  I think the same thing could happen to the wide receiver group, we just have to buy some more time.

Your response doesn't invalidate anything that I said,  nor does it really directly address it.

Just because you dont get info first hand doesn't  mean that you can't develop an insightful analysis.

At the end of the day,  all of this stuff is based upon opinion,  that's why nobody gets anything 100 percent right as it pertains to football and professional sports in general. There are facts based upon what individuals within an organization do from the owner down to members on the practice squad.  There are stats and metrics that can be evaluated to get a clearer picture.  And then there is a whole lot of speculation. What it leads to is a wealth of information. There is plenty of information out there if anyone cares to look for it,  and this is particularly true in a digital age. And,  like it or not,  it's the bigger organizations that are in the best position to gather, analyze and disseminate this information.  So actually  being at a presser or a practice and especially a game is not necessary to develop a rational opinion,  which to me is a lot more insightful than listening to unapologetic cheerleaders or Debbie downers day after day.

A damn good job? Maybe if you compare it to what we had last season.  They are clearer an inferior OL though

Newton is the great equalizer.  But in a mortal human and they already would have given up a lot more sacks and likely some fumbles by the QB.
