Another major concern of mine..

One troubling thing that has come to my attention since the Brees news broke is this...

Over the years, we could always depend on the NFCS teams to beat up on each other. We all would usually split a few games. Now that the Saints might be in full meltdown mode, we can't depend on them, or the Bucs, to beat up the Falcons at all. And if you look at the Falcons schedule- you will see a ton of very-winnable games for them and not a lot of possible losses.

Next week they play @ the Romo-less and Dez-less Cowboys. Followed by home games against the Texans and Redskins = 2 very winnable games for them. Then they have a cake-walk of a stretch against the @ Saints, @ Titans, Bucs and @ 49ers. They then have their Bye week. Coming out of their rest week, they get the Colts and Vikings at Home. Finishing it up @ Bucs, @ Panthers, @ Jags, Panthers and Saints.

When you look at possible losses for them- both of our games jump out as well as the Colts. Other than that, all their opponents are very flawed and vulnerable. We will need to be on our A-game when it comes to those 2 Falcons games.

I know we shouldn't draw any conclusions only after week 2, but I can't help but look forward and see the marshmallow of a schedule they have in front of them....

You're looking too far ahead some of those teams will get better and the Falcants won't continue to stay healthy all year. Their depth sucks, plus everyone is acting like Julio will suddenly stay healthy forever just because he got paid. Bracket him and cover Roddy and don't worry about Falcants running game Coleman will be out a couple weeks with fractured rib. I have faith Dallas will matchup well and beat Falcants

To be fair, the Falcons should be at the very best 1-1. The Giants blew it.

Their running game is really, really bad. They're one injury on the DLine away from not being able to rush the passer, and of course, no matter how "bad" a division is, teams play each other hard as hell in the division.

If we win the games we should win, we'll be fine regardless of ATL.  Even if we're a wildcard at 11-5 because they go 13-3, I'll take it.

This and frankly given our abysmal record after a bye under Rivera, I don't even want a 1st round bye. Keep the momentum going and take chances on having to win three straight instead of 2 coming off a bye
