I thought this was interesting.  Last time Luke Mccown completed a pass in the NFL, Cam Newton was a rookie.  If that isn't crazy enough to think, last time he started a game, George W was in the white house.

Word this morning is Brees very well could play Sunday.

 

If he does, he's not going to be close to 100%.

I didn't see the exact diagnosis. If they are hoping he comes back, its probably partial cuff or partial labrum tear. Prob giving him a cortisone shot to see how he responds and then surgery in the off-season. If it is a complete tear, I would thinking throwing over head would be impossible. I'd look for fewer deep balls, arm-slot changes and maybe more batted balls.

If that is true, it will be crucial that we get Luke back to cover the pass-catching rbs.
