Parity in the NFL

Is it just me, or has the NFL truly been an "any team, any game, any week" type of league this year? I did not see the Falcons performing so well against the Eagles and Giants. I didnt see the Giants struggling so much thus far. I didnt think the Rams would beat the Seahawks, only to lose to the Redskins this week. i didnt think the Redskins would keep it close with Miami last week, not did i think Jacksonville had any chance yesterday against Miami. I thought the Vikings would wipe the floor with the 9ers last week, and i certainly didnt see the Bucs getting blown out last week only to make Drew Brees look silly IN THE DOME. Where the hell did the Raiders come from yesterday?

this has been a crazy two weeks in the NFL world. it gives me hope that the Panthers can achieve the highest heights this season (and post season), but at the same time, it worries me that any stretch games this season could ruin it. not trying to jump on anyone's hype train right now, just reflecting on the high amount of unexpected things happening in the league.

what do y'all think?

Packers and Patriots look very, very good. Those are my 2 teams to beat at the moment. We have a great opportunity to make a deep playoff run this year. We just need to get more efficient on offense. We have to run the ball better and convert on our good field position. I think everything will fall into place if our receivers can get a little better game by game.

I think we did well to beat 2 teams that we should have beaten, and maybe both the Texans and Jags are better than predicted. OTOH there are no sure wins and injuries can always be a factor. You want to be healthy and playing well at the end of the season, but unless you have enough wins to make the playoffs, it doesn't matter, other than making you feel hopeful for next season.

We're good enough to win 10-12 games. Just gotta play up to our ability and SCORE MORE POINTS.

It seems every year there are middling to bad teams that change the direction of their season. There are only a few teams that are consistently good...probably because that's a very hard thing to do. Certainly having a good QB is generally the prerequisite to even be on that short list...and there really aren't many of those. We are positioned for a very good year. Injuries are key to everyone. If Brady goes down...NE doesn't really stand much of a chance. If Rodgers goes down GB is done. If Cam goes down we can a few games but make no mistake we are likely done. I would say OLine might be the next most important group. Seattle is learning this.

All in all there is craziness all over the NFL and if we stay healthy we are positioned to have a very good year and emerge from the dumpster fires that are teams that were supposed to be good this year.
