Want to be optimistic? Holy hell, look at how easy our schedule is!

I saw a 24-10 lead nearly get blown to a Ryan Mallett led Texans team because we played for a 53 yard field goal and Kony just didn't want that last drive to end.

Buffalo 2013. Atlanta 2012. Tampa 2012. Pretty much every loss in 2011. This team under Rivera has a history of doing this, and sorry if I saw flashbacks to some of the most dumbfounding Panthers losses I've ever seen. Perhaps if we had closed out a game a little bit more cleanly I would feel better about it.

I hope they handle the Saints at home like they are capable of doing and look even better than they did this week. I don't see what is so negative about this...

I hate Rivera and playing for long ass field goals. How many times will that bite us on the ass before he learns? Will he ever learn?

I mean, can we not at least acknowledge how bad that was? That's all I'm doing!

You all are seeing "negativity" and I'm just saying we could have been so much better, and what's more optimistic than that?

My post seemed a little devoid of emotion so let me clarify:

I enjoy when good things happen and hate when they go wrong just like any other fan in the moment. I want the Panthers to do well. Everyone here that is a Panthers fan does.

However, as I posted in the game thread, the end of that game was terribly mismanaged. In addition, offensive playcalling was spotty at best. Personnel is what it is. No Star and no KB hurts those respective groups tremendously. But it's seeing the correctable things like game management and discipline lacking that are disheartening.

I don't see what's wrong with acknowledging some mistakes were made (the same mistakes that have been made for years) and hoping they improve as the season goes along.

Then allow me to retort, Whether the Panthers win or lose, it's always the same people starting the lynch mob, Winning or losing means nothing, They need to find fault and make the rest of us worry about it, or be "proven right" by saying something negative and when it happens, say, "See I WAS RIGHT" That's why I say those people should find something more joyous to occupy their time. Just a life tip that will be ignored by everyone that needs follow it.

Here's to 16-0!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not seeing negativity.  I agree with you.  I hate this coaching staff for always taking the ball out of cams hands and settling for long field goals.  Gano never makes them anyways

I know the group of posters you are talking about. I am not one of them.

I try to help people understand that this team does not really separate their offensive production and their defensive philosophy. They play field position football where the offense and defense are following a procedure to produce a win.

I know most fans dont want to hear this but our brand of football is about getting the 'W' at the end of the day, it isnt about offensive stats.

We had 500 yards a game when Chud was our co-ordinator, yet we couldnt make the playoffs. Imagine a concept where 'stats' are not important, and where the only thing that matters is the W. That is how this team plays football.

I'm sorry if I am coming off as condescending, but I just have made up my mind that I am not going to explain this again. So I am getting it off of my chest. I hope some people will read it and will realize that we are doing fine.

This team has won 6 of its last 7 games. We do not suck by any means.

what does any of that have to do with what I said? If they want to play ball control then they need to let cam control the ball instead of immediately going into field goal mode when we reach the 35
