Want to be optimistic? Holy hell, look at how easy our schedule is!

It's not so much about the record for those of us skeptics, it's about seeing things in the bigger picture. What injuries do we have? What struggles do we have? How does the other opponent look?

I don't think lacking optimism despite the start is a bad thing. It shows that we as a fanbase have expectations, like beating below average AFC South teams handily, and that's not a bad thing.

Can I just ask a serious question then? What joy do you get out of watching the Panthers if even after winning you can't look toward the future schedule with a little more confidence? I cheer to have fun and enjoy the spectacle. It seems to me the skeptics, realists, and Debbie Downers only enjoy the pain of losing because it re-enforces their doom and gloom expectations. If the Panthers have hurt you that much in the past, move on with your life and find something enjoyable besides this. Life's too short to find fault in everything and rob yourself of joy.

Speaking of injuries, what is up with Tre Turner?

I havent heard anything. I hope that is good news.

He was back in the game, as was Cotchery, as was Fozzy.    We got out of this game with NO notable injuries at all.  One of the best aspects of a great win.

Philly, Indy and Seattle are not going to be nearly as tough as they appeared before the season started. Dallas I thought we'd win even with them having Bryant and Romo but if they don't have either I'm very confident we win that. I think we'll easily go 5-1 within the division, and sweep the NFC East and the AFC South. Honestly think 15-1 is doable, but no game is a gimmie. Packers will give us trouble. Helps Nelson is out, but still difficult. Really excited about the rest of this season.

Seattle is still pretty tough.  It is after the bye and those games are always such a pleasure to watch.  I bet Kam is back by then too.

I think it is premature to talk on Indy.  All they have in the books is a week 1 game....which doesn't tell u much

My post seemed a little devoid of emotion so let me clarify:

I enjoy when good things happen and hate when they go wrong just like any other fan in the moment. I want the Panthers to do well. Everyone here that is a Panthers fan does.

However, as I posted in the game thread, the end of that game was terribly mismanaged. In addition, offensive playcalling was spotty at best. Personnel is what it is. No Star and no KB hurts those respective groups tremendously. But it's seeing the correctable things like game management and discipline lacking that are disheartening.

I don't see what's wrong with acknowledging some mistakes were made (the same mistakes that have been made for years) and hoping they improve as the season goes along.

it shows me that folks like you just are never satisfied and look for things to worry or complain about.  You can't even bask in the pleasure of a win for 24 hours before you start the negativity. I see 2-0 and nothing we did or didn't doin the first 2 weeks has any bearing on what we will do moving forward. Each games stands on its own.

I saw a 24-10 lead nearly get blown to a Ryan Mallett led Texans team because we played for a 53 yard field goal and Kony just didn't want that last drive to end.

Buffalo 2013. Atlanta 2012. Tampa 2012. Pretty much every loss in 2011. This team under Rivera has a history of doing this, and sorry if I saw flashbacks to some of the most dumbfounding Panthers losses I've ever seen. Perhaps if we had closed out a game a little bit more cleanly I would feel better about it.

I hope they handle the Saints at home like they are capable of doing and look even better than they did this week. I don't see what is so negative about this...

Let's see.. A sweep of the Bucs and Saints and a split with the Falcons plus the two that we won already, that's 7 wins. I see a win against the Redskins, Titans and Giants, that's 10 wins. Cowboys if Romo and Dez are out is another win, that's 11 wins, Philly is imploding that's 12 wins.

12-4. Loss to the Hawks, Colts, Falcons and Packers. Sounds right to me

You flip flop so much...
