Are we overrating Star?

Whether we keep him for a second contract will be determined by what he does this year and next. Based on his salary he is well worth what we are paying him. He is not overated or underrated right now. He is a  bargain right now on his rookie contract. Whether we keep him long-term is still to be decided. I hope he has a terrific year and would hope every panther fan feels the same way

I know you can read the title alone and likely get out the pitchforks so to speak. For what it's worth let me just go on the record and say that I am in no way, shape or form bashing Star, I am not bashing the player that he is nor the man that he is for that matter.   I actually think Star is a solid player, definatley one of the best DTs we have had since all pro Sione Fua (I kid I kid)..

But with that being said, I am of the opinion that we are overrating Star. I'm not going to bore you with stats, numbers and comparisons, instead I'm going to keep this simple.. Since Star has missed games, I honestly haven't been able to tell a difference in our D..

We still seem to be the same dominate D in the games he has not played. It just seems like our D doesn't miss a beat with or without him. Lete put it this way, since he has missed games, there really hasn't been that moment where I said to myself "omg our D looks so bad, we need Star back badly." Our D has continued to be so good I couldn't tell the difference honestly. What are your thoughts?

bro you are dump piece of poo sometimes how are you going to base it on one game this season. Just look at the Seattle game in the playoffs.

was tj yeldon injured or something?  i'm amazed that jacksonville wasn't feeding him the ball the entire second half.

it was kind of unnerving how easily they were running on us without star jamming up the middle.  actually with how effective he was as a rookie i'd say star kind of spoiled us because most interior d-linemen don't have the kind of immediate impact he did.

Star when healthy is a beast.  A beast who often has unglamorous duties....which means Star can be much better at his job than others yet others could get more hype.

Only issue with him is his health which is a seperate conversation

Actual question: Is there a way to block a user's posts? Seeing PanthersUnited's mindless drivel on this forum every day is really ruining the huddle experience for me. I feel like this forum has improved drastically over the past few years, but this moron is single-handedly holding it back. We have Igo's podcasts and articles, we have the Roaring Riot, and then we have...PanthersUnited. Ugh. Someone please make it stop.
