Well, he was inactive for 7 games last season, and only played in 7 of the 9 he was active for during the regular season.  So obviously, there was someone last year who could take those snaps.  Bersin?

There was a lot of shifting last year on ST's, which is why it was focused on more this off season.  Webb showed, later in the season, that he could contribute in a positive way, so he's now a huge part of it.  He's probably more of a ST's guy for us now, than QB or WR.

I'm probably totally wrong but with Chandler and Williams out for this week doesn't that free up a spot?  Ideally you would have two lineman to step up but..do we have two?  I know we just signed Velasco.  

 

Chandler is now out for the season on IR.  He was replaced on the 53 by Velasco.  Doubt Velasco will be inactive on Sunday given how thin we are on Oline.

Williams will be inactive on Sunday, presumably along with Brockel, and quite probably Luke.  Still need to find 4 other roster guys to deactivate.  Marlowe & Wegher likely to be two of those.  The tough call is who else?  Last week it was Norwood & Mayo who were also inactive.  I'm betting if Luke is out this week Mayo will be active...

I think that day might just be coming, but I sense it's still a few weeks away.

I think that at some point this year if Brown continues to struggle, we might see Funchess and Cotchery starting, with Norwood being the #3 and Ginn coming in if we need more of a long ball threat.  The staff is going to want at least one veteran starting at receiver and Cotchery has played fairly well so far.

fug it. was never high on the guy like other people, but bring in hakeem nicks before the cowboys get him.

The Cowboys already tried him out, and apparently declined, choosing instead to trade for Brice Butler.

Saints also tried out Nicks, and likewise passed on him.

I won't be surprised if he sees multiple tryouts this season, but doesn't end up on anyone's roster.

It cracks me up how Olsen routes always look "forced" and not fluid at all but come game day he gets open somehow.

Someone else quoted Proehl as saying that Norwood is perceived as slower than he actually is because he runs so smoothly.

I don't honestly care if they look like this when they run...
