I would have preferred going against Hoyer.  Don't know if Mallet is any better, but he has had only two games as a starter (one decent, the other not so much), so he is an unknown.  Hoyer is a known quantity.

apparently they have some joe person level beat writers in houston. a couple local guys say it looks like hoyer is definitely going to start and theyd be shocked if mallet gets the nod and the next day mallet is officially announced to be the starter lol

Agreed. With Hoyer you know you are getting either a bad or an average QB which I feel we can beat almost every time. With Mallet you're getting something between complete garbage to good. If Mallett is good on Sunday then the Texans have a solid chance to win.
