Stack The Box and Roll Coverage To Greg Olsen.. Because They have No Receivers

I wanted Luke....90% of this board bashed that thought and claimed me and 3 other posters were idiots.  I didn't buy into the Beason hype video and thought we needed to replace him....lots of hate on that.  Plus Luke would be BPA by far too large of a margin.

I wanted Cam back when most of the board thought that was a crazy reach early on...although many eventually came around on that one.

so yeah, outside of 55... I don't recall any other poster being in BOTH those picks early.  Neither were very popular overall.

As far as my Cam comment....unless a player retires early, all players reach a point IMO where they should be cut.  That's all.   I am a huge Cam fan.  He masks lots and lots of issues that would be more glaring with a mere mortal human.

Who should be cut first then Luke or Cam.

First of all the hope is that Wilfork has one year left which certainly means that his best years are behind him.  Clowney is way overhyped.  He has done very little in his career and is just returning from micro fracture surgery. Color me unimpressed. So we are left with Watt and Cushing. Cushing has only played 22 out of a possible 48 games and has been more hurt than Clowney. So while they may be hyped due to their name, their production has been very underwhelming. So like I said, Watt is the only guy who you have to worry about. As for why bring us up, who do you think our offense practices against all the time? Likely one of the best defensive lines we will face all year. Our own.

I'm not talking about us.  I'm talking about opponents we face.

You are arguing against the Texans being the toughest front we see all year by simply talking about our own DL.  Texans have the most pure talent and the added fit causing 3-4 advantage.

I still think with Clowney it is purely a health issue. Even on a snap count he presents a huge issue b/c the talent gap between him and his competition IMO remains big.   I think he sees a nice work load Sunday in front of his hometown area.....and Oher can't handle that IMO without help.  Not sure we can give him much with Watt.

Hahahhahahha... i am going to enjoy Cam Newton feast :)

I remember during the game when announcer said.. Cam had spread the Ball around to over 5 receivers or something to that effect.

Star was out, Luke was Out and this Defense played LIGHTS OUT...

This will be Fantastic.

think it was 9 different targets. But yea, I live in Houston so it's going to be a lovely week listening to misinformed, overweight, football "fans".

First of all they arent the toughest front we will face. Off the top of my head Philly will give us more problems than Houston because of personnel and scheme.  It isnt just the players but how they are being used.  And I am just saying that if our own front is better than theirs and our guys practice all day against them then Houston wont be the problem you suggest.  It really isnt that hard to understand unless you have to keep defending your own negative sky is falling predictions.

Again what has Clowney done so far this year?  Not much.  So healthy or not untill he proves he is a stud or completely healthy then he is just a guy they hope will live up to the hype.
