Falcons will be tough this year, which leads me to...

The Falcons aren't that great, their offensive and defensive line got dominated all day and they were bailed out by Byron Maxwell being absolute trash and the iggles kicker missing. We should pretty well dominate on both sides of the ball.

I agree with you. Anyone who watched the game can tell you the Iggles were having problems being on the same page offensively in the first half. That's not unusual when you have a new QB on your team and that helped make the Falcons D look better than last year's D, which isn't saying much since they were dead last. Second half the Falcons D were on their heels as the Iggles got their poo together. Zero sacks against an Iggles O-Line that cut Evan Mathis and saw Jason Peters get injured and leave the game? That almost makes me laugh, but that Falcon LB Worrilow did make me laugh when he had the RB dead to rights in the backfield and bounced right off him instead of wrapping the RB up. Good stuff (pun intended)

Falcons signing OT Jake Long today with no starting O-linemen hurt means the Falcons still aren't happy with their O-line, but didn't want to have Long's contract fully guaranteed by him being on the 53 man roster of week 1

Sure, ATL looked better than everyone thought they would but there's a few things to consider: 1) They were playing for a new coach. A new voice to rally around. Let's see if they can keep it up. 2) Outside of Julio, who can they get the ball to? Josh Norman is the only guy in this division that has the stones to match up with JJ, plus, our secondary is much improved over last year. 3) Like others have said, "It's a long season." Who knows how the teams will be playing by then. Can JJ make the whole season without injury? Without a serviceable OL will Matt Ryan survive the season being hit 10+ times per game (Jake Long is not the savior).

Remember, it's week 1.

What you saw was a finesse team beating another finesse team... We are bullies they will throw those bubble screens and get Julio killed against us.... We are still stronger in the trenches and still a over all tougher and grittier then the falcons.... Let's see how explosive they are when we hit them in the mouth... I think they will wilt and fall like their nature...

what did you think about the emphasis on offensive PI? I understand the thought process but I felt it got a tad ridiculous...teams are gonna have to make some serious adjustments to the screen game and quick passes going forward

Instead of a Twittering... Do you have a Space Face?

Yeah, I'm not too thrilled with the offensive PI calls so far.  Goodell wants to go more offense, why all of a sudden start calling these ticky tac calls?  But on another note, Chip Kelly and that kicker of theirs killed them last night.

Falcons are taking the NFCs, that team looked unstoppable. I really hate it but keeping it real

You keep that opinion when we punch them in the mouth... I don't want to see you on the 3 pete bandwagon at all...

It's so stupid to form a opinion after 1 game in a 16 game season...

The Falcons did not win that game. Chip Kelly's ego and the Eagles horrible defense lost that game. Quit with your cute play calling and using 3 different running backs. If he had put Murray in on that 3rd and 1 instead of leaving Mathews in, Murray picks up that 3rd down. Demarco Murray got 8 attempts last night.  What kind of usage is that for one of the best running backs in football?

the Panthers will run at the Falcons D Line all day and wear them out.

Not gonna lie, that Falcon defense had me a little worried the first half. But Chip adjusted very well in the 2nd half. The question is -Can our HC/OC make the necessary offensive 2nd half adjustments to a much more aggressive Falcons defense?

By the time we play them in December I don't think their defense will be remotely that good.

I really hope so. But they were flying all over the place last night - at least in the 1st half. Bradford looked a little shell shocked for a minute.

Then, of course Chip finds their mismatch and exploits the heck out of them with Sproles. After Sproles got involved, I think the Falcons were on their heels the rest of the game.

Not sure we have a reliable mismatch on offense. Todman could have been that guy, but...
