I was watching Sportscenter the other day and they were talking about how now the Patriots have a lot of first round picks next year after trading to the Raiders.

Could this be some foreshadowing to working on trying to trade the Panthers for Peppers?

Not trying to instigate any conspiracy theories, just had this thought crossing my mind when I heard about things.

It's just the opposite. They just traded someone that was as good if not better than Peppers at the same position because they didn't want to pay him. Someone that has a history with the Patriots. Someone that doesn't take plays off.

And you think that they would rather have Peppers?

I don't see this happening.

They got Oakland's 2011 1st rounder not 2010.

I think Bellichik wants to figure out a way to get into top 5 and pick Brandon Spikes. Prototype 3-4 MLB, and he has the leadership and intensity that the great ones carry. He was at the Title game last year eyeing Spikes closely.

I'd much rather have him over a washed up, lackadasical, and overpriced Peppers also

I dont think anybody is going to trade for a first round pick for pep anyway...hes better off signing a long term with us IMO

Seymour will be 30 on Oct. 6th. Why would Belichick get a player that is older? Peppers will retire a Panther. N/M Peppers is actually 3 months younger, but since the trade won't happen until next year...eh whatever n/m...
