Observations of the Houston Texans, our Week 2 opponent

Biggest concern is against a weaker front we were forced to have Olsen in protecting....

So how are we gonna have him out running wild this week?

This game will be MUCH tougher than the Jags game....regardless of who plays QB b/c their team is much better than the Jags team.  Their QB sucked too and we had a tough time finally getting by them.

I don't know about MUCH tougher.  The only thing the Texans have that the Jags don't is JJ Watt.  The Jags secondary is better, and Bortles is better than Hoyer for sure, maybe Mallett (too soon to say).  Their QBs will make mistakes, just depends if the Panthers can capitalize, and call plays that exploit their poor tackling secondary.

Just a matchup thing. Don't like it.

I feel much better about beating New Orleans than Houston yet I believe New Orleans is a better overall team than Houston.

I just feel what we do offensively plays into their strengths to well.  We want to run....and have a QB who sits in the pocket too long looking for deep routes.   That is a bad mix IMO.    I think a worse QB whose style is to just get rid of it works better vs them.

I feel like the Texans are the panthers of old

-superstar Def lineman (Watt and Peppers)

-Gifted WR (Hopkins (or Andre when he was there) and Smith)

-Great Running Game (Foster and Williams/Stewart)

however, they are always just consistent QB play away from being a perennial playoff team.

why the hell don't we just like Greg up at WR and keep someone else in to block. At no point should your best Receiving threat be held in to block on a damn passing situation.

I couldn't agree more.  Put the man in the slot and let Brockel, or whoever can pass pro better, man the TE spot.
