Would you rather.. Extend Norman or sign a FA WR

Frankly, while I love Norman this one is a no brainier for me. I would rather sign a WR. Enough is enough, we have to get some stud WRs, I know I know "build through the draft, re sign core players, rinse and repeat." While yes you build your core through the draft I'm also a believer you have to be somewhat active in FA when you are at the point we are, which is close to the top.

When you are a young team and still in full rebuild phase, then yes, you can ignore FA and build through the draft, but that's not us anymore.

With the money Norman would command I feel we could sign a upper mid level FA WR instead. After seeing our sorry WRs yesterday, we have to get some help.

Depends on what is available.  Norman probably earned about 75% of the victory by himself yesterday.  But how often does that actually happen that a defensive player wins you the game?  Odds are in favor of teams that can score points.  WRs tend to score more than CBs.  Depending on the value, I'd take the WR.

Let's see what Funchess and Norwood can do, that is if the coaching staff wise up and stop playing around.  No way on earth should our starting receivers be Philly Brown and Ted Ginn.  Yet like I said elsewhere, Ted Ginn would make a great number 3 receiver going deep for touchdowns.

Absolutely 100% Norman.

1. KB will be back next year and Funchess will finally have some playing time under his belt. Perhaps Norwood turns out to be a find and we may even draft another one.

2. Tillman isn't exactly a spring chicken and has a few years left at best. Imagine a future with the best LB corps possible with two shutdown corners in Bene and Norman. Spend one of the early picks net year on a Safety or bring someone in and we are again looking at an elite defense for years to come.

Patience people. Good things take time.

    • Soooo many bad turnovers again. Luckily Martin played well.
    • Yes. Cade 100% tripped and pitched it to Mafah.  That’s not in dispute.  We agree on that.  Mafah got the ball, fell to the ground and then attempted to complete the rest of the play….which was the lateral to the WR on the end around.  You are calling the lateral from Mafah to the end around WR the ball popping up.   It was whistled dead.   Then they ran another play.  the review then awarded the ball to SC after we ran another play for what happened after a play was whistled dead.   How does that part work lol?  How do you recover a ball if a play was whistled dead for a downed player prior to a recovery?  I think the refs screwed Clemson twice.   That’s not why they lost.  Please don’t think that is my argument.   They lost because Cade chocked and panicked at the end.  They lost because Sellers should have been put on the ground for a loss countless times and they didn’t.  They lost because our over loyal Dabo wouldn’t bench his favorite hurt RB.    Clemson lost for lots of reasons. SC deserved to win.  Those calls were bad though IMO.  They exist in every game.
    • I can’t recall an NBA team with this many injuries.  It’s getting absurd at this point
