I saw many of those throws as him playing it safe in the redzone.

You may be right about the defense too.  Panthers WRs were running open.

The panthers are a closely matched team to the Jaguars, that is to say if they played in any division other than the NFCS they'd be a top 5 of the draft team just like the Jaguars, but they get a free home playoff game thanks to playing in the worst division the NFL has ever seen.

The time of possession was not lopsided heading into the fourth quarter, and the defense just rolled over for the panthers as they ran out the clock.

Cam Newton has the footwork and throwing motion of The Tin Man from Wizard of Oz. He is not worth a $100M contract.

He looked pretty good against us. His passes seemed on target and dropped. We're lucky it wasn't worse.

I'm just trying to figure out why people think last year was the norm in the NFCS. It's not like the division is perennially being won by .500 teams. Fans have a short memory.

2008: Panthers 12-4

2009: Saints 13-3

2010: Falcons 13-3

2011: Saints 13-3

2012: Falcons 13-3

2013: Panthers 12-4

2014: Panthers 7-8-1.

Because people are stupid.

If anything its one of the most balance divisions in the NFL

Yes, we were lucky, but it's not like Cam was great today even taking drops from WRs into account.

Not great, but looked pretty good. When you bring up his passer rating while ignoring he should have had at least two more tds, I just think that it's disingenuous.
