I think if you want to use the word "chemistry" it needs to be applied to the oline in this situation. 

When the ball is snapped Oher gets right into his guy at the line of scrimmage. I watched a lot of pass blocking in the 2014 season and not once did I ever see Bell get that agressive in pass pro. He would always retreat.

So maybe Andrew Norwell wasn't expecting there to be so much space on his left side in pass pro. He got beat and it effected the throw. Looks like Cam could have had a man along the sideline if he had thrown with proper mechanics in a clean pocket. In real time it looked like a dumb move by Cam but you can at least see the oline played a role in this too. 

Edit: Here. Just look at the oline here. Norwell has just lost leverage but you can see him in unison with the three on his right. Oher is kind of doing his own thing. Maybe Norwell wasn't expecting it to play out like this.

Not to mention that LB got up.  That was an outstanding pick.  It wasn't as if Cam threw it right to him.  That man got good hops.  I was upset and impressed in the same moment.

way, way too ugly to have not been a miscommunication on a timing route. relatively common in an air coryell... and it doesn't help that shula repeatedly fails to get his offensive players on the same page.

and there aren't many pages, so, it is a nice conundrum.

There were multiple plays yesterday where 2 receivers were running routes in the exact same area of the field.

I mean, WTF Shula, Proehl?  Talk about BEGGING for interceptions to happen.

Newton is unequivocally not the problem on offense.  Wasn't great yesterday, but overall was very solid.  Had 2 throws alone in 1st Quarter (pass to Olsen that was absurd offensive PI call) and throw to Ginn that should have been caught if not scored on that would have dramatically changed the game from the start.

The 2 things that stand out from yesterday (and there not actually news to anyone) is the pass rush and the WR play.  Winning on the road in Week 1 in the NFL is hard (just ask Seattle), and the team did enough to win.  Still, the pass rush wasn't getting there w/o a blitz until the 4th Quarter when the Jags were in obvious passing situations, and the WR drops let Jacksonville hang around until late in the 4th when we should have been up 14-0 early on.

I was really impressed with Cam yesterday.

Here are 5 things that stood out to me.  You won't believe #4.

1. He checked down.  A lot. 

2.  He did not throw the ball high (except for once to Olsen when the O-line got pushed into his face)

3.  He really set his feet.  Even when he rolled out of the pocket he didn't throw on the run but stopped, set his feet and threw a dart.

4.  When he could have just tucked the ball and ran he kept his eyes downfield while scrambling and found the open man.

5.  He was throwing very accurate balls.  I can really tell he worked in the off season a great deal on that like he's said.  You can see his mentality now if moving the sticks and not trying so hard to make the big play.
