I think we all wished we would have seen more positives than what was on display today. We finally have 15 more games this year to play years back would be in our favor but now it looks like ....really the jags, houston??? can we beat them??? when years past seahawks,49ers....we are in there like swimwear....I think people are afraid that we can't compete with this offensive squad but we won...which is awesome for a team that has a record of slow starts.....this is great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

the offense finally looked good in the 4th...had to work off the jitters.. a lot of pressure..its football..adapt and over come..and the Defense won the game like they should.. Dfense wins games

I think that despite the drops there was some glimmer of hope in the passing game.  But Shula is by far the worst situational play caller in the league.

Drops are part of the reason of our offense struggling so you can't really say "if we didn't have drops". All our receivers are known for drops

Jaguars have a ton of talent, Bortles just isn't very good. A lot of Cam detractors talk about his poor accuracy but man Bortles was horrible today beyond five yards

did you see the play when philly brown caught that slat and the jags dbs try to convince the refs he dropped it....lol, they saw the film. Philly won't get a break this season on any questionable catch.....the kid has a sheet and the league knows who he is

he was sailing balls out of bounds left and right.  i mean he's not terrible but you have to take everything you see in the preseason with a grain of salt.

I disagree a couple of ways.

1. The OL provided good pass pro overall IMO.  Run blocking was good and bad though.  Have to get more consistent in run blocking.

2. After the 1st quarter, it seems to me the receivers settled down reasonably well.  There at least 4 (maybe 5?) drops in that 1st quarter though.  That's something to build on.

We had 280 yards of total offense against the jags, that's HORRIBLE. What NFL are you watching were you think that's good? 

Our offense plays this bad against any other team not named the Browns or Jags and we get annihilated 

We almost put up 300 yards with a journeyman kick returner, an UDFA that has a case of the yips, and a perennially injured RB.  Add to that, our All-Pro tightend was shut down.  I consider what we did pretty damn solid considering it was also the first game of the season.

I think a lot of our fanbase thinks that real football is like madden and that we are supposed to throw for 400 yards a game.

If that is the case, they would probably like the Saints or Indy, because the Panthers play defense, run the ball, play-action and eat the clock. We did all of those pretty well today against a team that is built similar to ours.

We also finally started the season with a win. I think things are looking pretty good.

Bro just stop, go look at the prediction thread, everyone thought this was going to be an easy game and our offense would produce more than 280 total yards. Now you are making excuses for a bad offensive performance, trying to deflect from our problems.

lol.  what?  we had the ball for almost a full quarter longer than they did.  and to be honest, it would have been more had luke and star played the entire game.  we drove the ball at will.  sure, we didn't get scores we wanted early in the game, but the offense move the ball well; very well indeed--probably the best opening season game Cam has had.  To say it's worse than you thought it would be, you must've had super high expectations.  I thought they over achieved.

I was willing to go with it up till he said "I thought".

I know that didn't happen.
