But Norwood is still learning the offense, and is inactive Sunday against Jacksonville.

The rest of the Panthers' inactives include three injured players -- defensive tackle Star Lotulelei, tight end Richie Brockel and offensive tackle Nate Chandler, all of whom were listed as out.

The other healthy scratches for the Panthers in addition to Norwood are three rookies: running back Brandon Wegher, linebacker David Mayo and safety Dean Marlowe.
