Panthers-Jags tailgate thread - updates and hijinks

Lowers were also packed and crazy loud. First live experience of a Panther game was definitely a good one. Shame we couldn't get in early enough for the tailgate, but was great to meet some of the stragglers ;-)

You gotta do a write-up.  What did you think?

How do I miss these things?  I would really love to get up with fellow Huddlers to assure you I'm not as emo as the Internet makes me appear lol.

Only Huddler I've met to this day, is Kurb,  prior to the Chiefs preseason game last season when I made him late lol.  I really need to pay attention to RR's meet up threads...  I just feel disconnected from my fellow Panther fans in real life.

Incredible weekend. By far the coolest game day experience I've ever had as a fan. We lucked out with lower level seats along with our Cabana package. Saturday was awesome. Great event at River City Brewery. Awesome band and tons of Panther fans.

The tailgate was kickass. Good beer, good music and the march to the stadium. The march through the tailgating Jaguar groups was one of my favorite parts of the weekend. The bewildered looks on the Jags fan's faces was priceless, as hundreds of chanting Panther fans marched past.

The game itself was awesome. Entering the stadium, the Jaguars had tons of activities for the fans to do. I did a couple of timed 40 yard dashes, barefoot and semi-drunk and got a 5.24. I'll take it. The Panthers could take some tips from the Jags on improving their game day experience.

The cabana section reminded me of a pool party in Vegas, except made up 100% of Panther fans. Lots of good eats, good looking people and beer. There were also folks ordering bottle service, to complete the Vegas feel. The beer may have needed refilling several times, which was probably for the best as it allowed us to hydrate while more beer was brought in.

The lower level section below the Cabanas was 95% Panther fans, and we made a lot of noise. The Jags staff was cool and let us hang out by the rails pregame and at the end of the fourth quarter.

After the game, I got to hang with Braylon and his family on the water taxis. It was cool to meet a celebrity like Braylon. Cool kid.

Panther fans were hanging at the hotel pool well into the night. Hell of a fan base. Can't wait for the next Roaring Riot trip. Hoping to make Denver next year.

My brother and I had a great time. Downtown Jax sucks ass but we managed to have a good time. Met some awesome fans down in Riverside Saturday night.

Sunday morning when I got off the hotel elevator I walked right into Shahid Khan. Nothing like being decked out in panthers gear and the first face a billionaire owner sees on game day!

At the cabanas I got to meet Panther's President Danny Morrison. He was up there to greet the Panthers fans and the Roaring Riot. I happened to be there when he told Zack of RR, "I love what you're doing (with Roaring Riot). You're always loud, but with respect. That's the way we want to do it."

Downtown Jacksonville lived up to its reputation as a "poo hole". We went to "The Landing" Sunday night. The Landing is Jacksonville's version of The Epicenter, if The Epicenter was in a third world country. Everything was off about that place. Even the Hooters was "off", as we could see it was filled with a smokey haze for some reason.

Jacksonville, like the Jaguars team, seems to have potential, but it would take a lot of work and about ten years for that potential to be realized.
