With all due respect, both Smitty and D-Will had legitimate beefs in more than a few people's minds. And sometimes the perceived slight is on behalf of classless Panthers fans.  

Steve Smiths entire downfall started with him getting pissed at Gettleman's comment about him being evaluated, which IMO means he felt he was actually above being evaluated. It may have been a PR gaffe on Gettleman's part to say it, but the forever-slighted Steve Smith certainly did his part in that whole fiasco. 

Williams felt slighted because no one in the organization attended his mothers service or something like that. Never mind that it was during the season and people have a job to do, and really don't have an obligation to go to regardless of time. 

I really don't want to get into it anymore because talking about these players on here ends up being like talking about religion or politics. No ones mind will change, and it will undoubtedly turn into name calling and poo talking and personal attacks and that's not what I'm about on here so this will be the last I talk about in this thread.

I actually drafted D-Will in the 2nd to last round in my fantasy league, and he got the start last night. The plan is to bench him for Bell in 2 weeks, but now I'm worried that he might take a few touches from Bell when they are both active. D-Will balled out last night, and I was happy to see him do it! I hope he has a repeat performance next week!

I dunno, who gives a poo about a RB that plays for another team? I understand he played for us but what's the point of bashing, and or, praising him because of his current situation.  If you look at J-Stew and what we all know, which is that if he is healthy, dude is going to truck defenders and gain as many yards as possible.  With Fozzy having another year under his belt and CAP coming in and learning all he can, what's the point of worrying over players we don't have anymore? Be happy for him or be angry that he aint here, but don't make a thread about it unless you're putting that poo in General NFL, I'm trying to focus on the Panthers. Can't wait to see Stew stiff arm some defenders straight into the dirt.

The truth is our offensive scheme sucks and we have one of the worst coordinators in the NFL and our line was garbage most of the year. I was defending Deangelo all last season, wasn't his fault that he had defenders on him as soon as he touched the ball. But yall were mad because we wasn't going hulk on defenders. Give him some space and he's one of the best in the league.

Deangelo said he started eating less, dropped 15 pounds, and now looks better running the ball than the past 4 years. 

 

 

Kinda wish he did that for the Panthers. He looked slow and was often injured for the Panthers. 15 pounds can do that to a guy his size.

it was discussed at length in all pro last year.  i won't get into too many details but here's what everyone needs to know

-not particularly well liked in the building or by the players/staff

-knew he was on the chopping block in 2014 and had a dgaf attitude in light of it

it was basically spelled out on the TV broadcast last night that his diet and conditioning were crap in carolina yet people who have pointed that out in this topic are "haters".  right.

i've pointed it out before but it seems like many of the hurney era players tend to take being released poorly.  like the panthers org owes them something above and beyond the millions in guaranteed money they were paid to pace up and down the sidelines in sweats.  that's indicative of a culture change and it's something we needed very badly.

Sorry... But this deserves a thread. How in the fug has he ran so well tonight? The line has been great, yes. But the dude has actually looked like he did back in 2008. I thought he was washed up, and I know this is only one game, but now I'm starting to think that he was just being a lazy bum sitting on that large contract of his the past few years. fug him. He's no longer a Panther in my mind. Move if you want, but I can't believe this sh*t.
