give any running back the lanes Williams has gotten tonight and they will do well.

Thats what separates the mediocre backs from the great ones.

Love him if you want, but he was just collecting a check for years. Now he switched teams and his mother passed and all that so I'm sure there is a big chip that is fueling him right now. It will fizzle. Just like SS last year.

With all due respect Monsta.

Roaring Riot is struggling to establish a Panther nation that puts us at an equal position with other teams who's fans bleed their team's colors..

One thing we Panther fans can to do is to quit shytting on past Panther players who toiled for years for the Panther Nation, often with tremendous success.

See Steve Smith.

It's a disgrace.

Sad that some here don't know there are different types of running backs with different types of styles. Not his fault we run a scheme that doesn't best fit his skill set, don't hate on the man. I'm just saying at some point you have to stop blaming the back and look elsewhere. It's like people forget what he was going through last season and then to get cut, hell id be motivated to.

You guys who think he lost 15 lbs of fat are being stupid. He was jacked to the gills here. He slimmed down his muscle mass for speed.

I'm convinced 90% of this board didn't even watch football before Cam got here. It's like everyone hates and resents our team's own past and paints it with extreme cynicism.

why is this a surprise? it's not like we cut him because he was a crippled old man. he still had juice in the tank, he was just an aging back at an overcrowded, overpaid position. all that on top of the chemistry problems and it made perfect sense.

i expect him to have a fairly productive year. which is fine because i think his replacement(s) will do even better.

it helps them sleep better at night if they believe that everyone we let go is a washed up bum because Gettleman thinks so.

I think this.

D-Will is lighter. He's quicker. I think he's trusting that quickness, which is why he is being so patient (that and he trusts that OL to actually open a lane). He's also trying to earn reps now.

I also think this coaching staff needs their own personnel. Much like a new high school coach. Sometimes the upperclassmen are bitter about having to change systems after being successful/comfortable with the old system and coach. However, the first freshman class will be more successful under that coach, typically. Same thing here. This staff needs their own guys. We're finally starting to get that, with a bulk of our team being here post-Rivera being hired.

D-Will will have a solid year. May even crack 1,000 yards if he keeps up like he did tonight. But Stew, staying healthy being the presumption, will also crack 1,000 yards. And CAP will have a strong year as well. We really just got younger without sacrificing talent at RB. I'll take it.

The truth is our offensive scheme sucks and we have one of the worst coordinators in the NFL and our line was garbage most of the year. I was defending Deangelo all last season, wasn't his fault that he had defenders on him as soon as he touched the ball. But yall were mad because we wasn't going hulk on defenders. Give him some space and he's one of the best in the league.

"One of the best in the league" .... Please.

He was dealing with injuries and the death of his mom. No reason to hate on him. He gave nothing but his best as a panther and there is no reason to question that. Steelers have a good line and a lot of weapons like Antonio brown that prevent teams from stacking the box. Looks like he learned from Leveon Bell to be more patient too.
