If you want to cringe about letting players walk before they should have...look at the Chargers.....

They seemed to do it over and over and over again...and many of those guys are still playing at high levels in the NFL.

VJax

Sproles

Turner

Vasquez

And before that Harrison and Seau, and they may see Weddle depart this offseason.

Brees...

Mike Mitchell

Captain Munnerlyn

Gary Barnidge

Richard Marshall

Dan Morgan

The now returned Ted Ginn

...and others.

Carolina actually has a pretty good track record when it comes to letting guys go.

Sorry, meant anyone that was a "star" and a starter on most every other team in the NFL... Like Smith (which was done in the most craptastic way), Williams, Peppers, etc. Can't wait to what Hardy may be for Dallas (they got for nothing).

Morgan (who was always hurt) and Marshall is the only ones close (in that list) that falls in that category.

Smitty: 2 Rec, 13 Yd

Thanks Gettleman! We would've had Smitty locked up this year and next year with over $25m in guaranteed money if you'd just left him on the team last year.

No the Smith that had 1065 yards last year, 6 TDs 4 100 yards game, etc. Yea that Steve Smith...

So the guy that really turned it on for about four or five games and coasted the rest of the year?

Hi Folks

Williams has worked hard in training camp and his work is paying off. As for his weight loss, Tomlin told him he needed to drop 20 pounds before preseason and he did. Mike Munchak has done a remarkable job on the Steelers Oline and that has helped Williams. Still much of Williams yardage was all him. I'm glad he's in Pittsburgh, heck of a nice guy too. Best wishes to the Panthers in 2015.
